Job Purpose and Impact

The Investigator III leads complex business misconduct investigations that help protect Cargill's people, assets, reputation, and culture. This role is responsible for conducting objective, timely, and high-quality investigations involving alleged violations of law, company policy, and the Code of Conduct.As part of Ethics, Compliance & Security (ECS), the investigator applies Cargill's investigative framework to assess allegations, gather and analyze evidence, conduct interviews, determine findings, and communicate investigation outcomes. The role partners closely with Ethics & Compliance Directors, Human Resources, Law, Audit, Security, and business leaders to address misconduct, identify root causes, and support appropriate corrective actions.

Location: São Paulo

• Lead investigations, including cross-border investigations, involving allegations of fraud, theft, conflicts of interest, retaliation, harassment, financial misconduct, Code of Conduct violations, and other forms of business misconduct.
• Develop investigation strategies, define scope, identify relevant evidence, and manage investigations from intake through closure.Conduct interviews, review documents and electronic evidence, analyze facts, and prepare clear, well-supported findings.
• Prepare investigation reports utilizing approved generative AI tools with appropriate human oversight and professional judgment.
• Partner with Ethics & Compliance Directors, Human Resources, Law, Audit, Security, and business stakeholders to ensure investigations are conducted fairly, consistently, and in accordance with company standards.Identify root causes, control gaps, and systemic issues, and support development of sustainable corrective actions and remediation plans.
• Manage external investigative resources, forensic providers, and other third parties as needed.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and investigative records while handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Build trusted partnerships across businesses and functions to promote a strong speak-up and compliance culture.
• Independently manage a portfolio of complex investigations consistent with corporate requirements while appropriately escalating high-risk or highly sensitive matters.
