Job Purpose and Impact

The Junior Government Relations Analyst will support Cargill Brazil's government relations activities by assisting in the company's engagement on routine legislative, regulatory and industry-related interactions with elected officials and government agencies and trade associations. The role, will help monitor policy developments, prepare analyses and briefing materials, organize stakeholder engagements and contribute to cross-functional alignment on advocacy priorities that impact Cargill's operations, investments and strategic projects in Brazil.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support research and analysis of policy, market and regulatory information relevant to the company's operations.
  • Assist in monitoring legislative and executive activities, preparing summaries and reports to inform decision making.
  • Support the engagement of GR with local and state governments to ensure renewal and maintenance of operational licenses for key operating locations.
  • Help coordinate meetings, events, and interactions with public partners across different levels of government.
  • Support the development of external engagement materials, including presentations, talking points, letters and meeting briefs. Maintain and update internal tracking tools and dashboards, ensuring visibility and follow up of government relations projects.
  • Help manage official documents, including letters, submissions, institutional statements and records of government interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Legal, Corporate Affairs, Sustainability, Operations and Business Units to ensure alignment on advocacy priorities.
  • Handle usual issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Intermediate English
• Microsoft Office - intermediate

• Understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
• Prior experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, public-policy analysis, trade associations or public-sector roles is an asset - a plus.
• Knowledge in data analysis - a plus

• Familiarity with data-intelligence or AI tools is a plus
