This position is in Cargill's animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.

Job Purpose and Impact

Junior Dairy Management Consultant Direct Channel, will provide guidance and support to existing and new dairy customers to improve their farm profitability and sustainability. You will work in a team supporting the sales representatives of the direct channel to consolidate and expand our presence in Cremona and Brescia areas. In this role, you will, with guidance, help assess customer needs, solve their inefficiencies and define the appropriate products, services and solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Contribute to developing and delivering sales bids, presentations and proposals and participating in product demonstrations.
  • Help identify and contact prospective customers, building relationships to generate future sales and repeat business.
  • With basic knowledge of products, their characteristics and market, help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions.
  • Plan daily activities, including customer visits and quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
  • Follow market and competition evolution, passing information to senior staff.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in animal science, veterinary medicine, agriculture or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Availability for extensive travelling in the designated area.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in feed industry
  • Good command of English


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1- 3 years of related experience at technical consulting positions in feed industry, preferably in the ruminant sector
  • Ability to hold self and others accountable to meet commitments
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Strong communication skills, ability to relate openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
