This position is in Cargill's agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Grain Origination Manager will lead, implement, and execute the grain origination, grain advisory and solutions activities within a geographic area. In this role, you will work together with the crop input sales, operations, customer service, facility management, grain merchandising, and supply chain leadership across regional and central teams to ensure locations meet their team-based targets and drive towards excellent customer service through one Cargill.
Key Accountabilities
- Evaluate local market positions and team performance to identify opportunities for grain profitability and margin growth.
- Plan, lead and implement strategies to position the value-added products and services of our Grain Advisory Services and Grain Marketing Solutions portfolio.
- Plan and implement strategies for proactive customer engagement and effective grain marketing solutions.
- Organize and monitor sales processes, metrics, and weekly performance to ensure alignment with team-based goals.
- Coordinate communication between merchandising and local teams, and collaborate with location leaders and group managers to achieve targets.
- Supervise grain reps and advisors through in-field coaching, supporting strong commercial decision-making and customer-focused actions.
- Lead, participate & execute vehicle and site safety activities within the direct team.
- Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Other duties as assigned

- Diploma/certificate or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Good understanding of agronomic services, farm customers and agriculture industry experience
- Possess a valid, full Canadian Driver's License in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment.
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in influencing and leading cross functional teams
Position Information
- Travel is required to cover the area of responsibility.
- This position requires to be on site based for business needs.
- This position is located in Camrose, Alberta
