FSQR Superintendent

Job Purpose and Impact

The FSQR Superintendent will provide strategic oversite for the plant and workers with tasks associated with food safety and quality assurance. In this role, you will conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established food safety and quality standards. You will work with senior staff to address customer requirements and concerns, as well as collaborate on audits.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partners with environment, health and safety and food safety, quality and regulatory experts to identify the most effective approach for implementing and monitoring corporate policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the performance of the quality control staff and ensure that the department meets organizational objectives and KPIs.
  • Conduct visual and physical inspections of company products and materials, helping team members interpret quality standards.
  • Review data identifying potential quality failures, evaluate quality of raw materials or components, in progress goods, processes or operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate current testing processes and make recommendations for improvements when necessary.
  • Develop, implement and assess processes and policies designed to test products and services.
  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced technical knowledge related to quality assurance and food safety concepts
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience in quality assurance, food safety, food manufacturing, regulatory, or related field.
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • HACCP certification and/or HACCP experience
  • BRC and internal audit experience
