FSQR Specialist External Manufacturing

Job Purpose and Impact

The Quality Specialist will provide specialized knowledge of specific segments of quality systems such as food safety and quality auditing, specific product line knowledge, computer systems, management or oversight of External Manufacturers and other needed focus areas. In this role, you will be involved in preparation and participation of audits and you will work together with internal and external teams to address customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Audit External Manufacturers or suppliers and vendors to ensure that established quality standards are met.
• Work closely with cross functional teams, including product management and production, to identify and mitigate quality risks.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects, nonconformities or other quality failures.
• Ensure compliance with formal external and internal quality standards.
• Provide management of specific segments of quality management systems and provide continuous improvement support where needed.
• Investigate and responds to customer complaints and provide guidance.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven experience in prioritizing work and meeting deadlines
• Flexibility: able to cope with fast changes within a growing company
• Minimum of two years of related work experience
• Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in conducting food safety audits
• 3rd Party auditor
