Food Safety Quality & Regulatory Technician (1st & 2nd Shift)

Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Food Safety Quality & Regulatory Technician will provide quality assurance and food safety technical support through testing and auditing process documentation and data collection and analysis. In this role, you will collaborate to identify quality assurance issues and analyze data to uncover risks and support knowledge transfer.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct inspections of finished products or raw materials to identify trends in defects or errors and support more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision.
- Provide training, coaching and mentoring to new team members.
- Conduct documentation review of hazard analysis, food safety and quality documents.
- Assists in audits and shelf life projects through testing, preparing reports and final summaries.
- Manage customer complaints and ensure appropriate actions and preventative measures are in place to prevent reoccurrence.
- Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of meat cuts
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office experience
- Excellent time management and organization skills
