Overview

The Investment Product Specialist (IPS) team is part of the Asset Class Services (ACS) team within Capital Group's (CG) Europe and Asia business. IPS partners with the team of Investment Directors (ID) to deliver deep expertise on CG's investment strategies both internally and externally. Collectively they are the voice of CG's investment strategies. The IPS and ID teams are two sides of the same coin: the ID is focused on being the external voice; and the IPS is focused on internal partners and stakeholders. The IPS also plays an important role in thinking strategically about the growth and evolution of their product coverage, partnering closely with Client and Marketing teams to unlock additional growth opportunities.

The individual will play a significant role in representing our range of global Equities & Multi-Asset (EQMA) products and investment teams. The individual will need to be able to quickly develop a deep understanding of Capital Group's EQMA range, investment approach, and an ability to synthesise information to enable CG associates to speak credibly to its strengths. In addition, they will partner with the ID team on strategy positioning and to generate investment insights to drive the business and support client engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Partners closely with the EQMA ID and investment teams to support EQMA product coverage. Develops deep expertise in investment ideas, strategy and portfolio positioning, with a strong capability in Multi-Asset product coverage.
• Drives investment content and narrative to support client engagement and the ID team in delivering portfolio and market insights as well as subject matter expertise at client meetings, conferences and other external engagements.
• Partners closely with and provide local support to EQMA IPS lead, to drive broader strategic work as well as deliver high-quality reports for senior management to inform decision-making and enhance business outcomes.
• Develops key messages to position and differentiate Capital Group's EQMA capabilities and solutions, supporting client engagement while tailoring for regional and segment-specific needs as appropriate.
• Engages with sales teams to address client queries promptly, collaborating and coordinating with internal distribution and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely responses.
• Contributes to the analysis of market trends and competitive dynamics to understand investor requirements and how it impacts Capital Group's EQMA offerings.
• Partners with IDs, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders to align on sales strategy, marketing approach, and client requirements.
• Be a strong advocate for Capital Group's equity offerings, shaping overall product strategy, including new product development and rollout initiatives. Assist in driving product business planning and supporting broader strategic initiatives for the asset class.
• Builds collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders across Europe, Asia, and North America by understanding their priorities and demonstrating the value of partnership to achieve shared goals.
• Contributes to broader thought leadership to drive more proactive external engagement across Europe & Asia Client Group (EACG), maintaining asset class alignment and positioning Capital Group as a trusted partner and industry thought leader.

• Ideally at least 4 - 7 years within the asset management industry, with exposure to an investment team environment and/or as a markets/product specialist delivering portfolio and investment insights
• You have a robust understanding of equity and fixed income markets and a range of equity & multi-asset strategies.
• You are self-motivated and proactive, and demonstrate strong intellectual curiosity, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You bring a strong commercial mindset to craft positioning messages tailored to target audiences, with a proven ability to drive impactful results.
• You demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills, to engage with a variety of internal and external audiences
• You are organised and detail-orientated, committed to delivering accurate investment insights and content in a responsive and timely manner
• You are highly collaborative and are comfortable partnering with multiple teams across time zones to deliver outcomes
• You have experience in interacting with and extracting information from markets data tools and platforms, such as Refinitiv or Bloomberg as well as Morningstar

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
