Job Title: Associate Tax Manager / Tax Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns for multiple Japan entities, coordinating closely with external tax advisors to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant filings.
  • Prepare and review quarterly income tax provisions for Japan and selected APAC entities in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 740).
  • Review transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance with local country guidelines.
  • Manage the intercompany agreement lifecycle for entities in the APAC region-including drafting, updating, and executing-to ensure alignment with transfer pricing policies.
  • Support tax audits by working with local advisors to provide information and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Support tax related projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and streamlining of tax processes.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and accounting guidance related to income taxes and assess potential impacts on the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA qualification and/or Master's degree in taxation preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant corporate tax experience in a multinational corporation and/or public accounting firm; experience with US income tax accounting (ASC 740) is a strong plus.
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and experience collaborating across functional departments and with external advisors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills; experience with SAP, OneSource, and/or Alteryx is a plus.
  • Self-driven professional with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment.

主な業務内容

  • 複数の日本法人に係る法人税申告書の作成およびレビューを担当し、外部税理士との連携のもと、正確かつ期限内の申告・納税を推進する。
  • 日本および一部APAC地域の法人について、US GAAP(ASC 740)に基づく四半期ごとの法人税(税金計上)の計算およびレビューを行う。
  • 各国のガイドラインに準拠した移転価格文書(ローカルファイル等)のレビューを行い、コンプライアンスを確保する。
  • APAC地域のグループ会社を対象に、移転価格ポリシーに整合した社内取引契約(インターカンパニー契約)のドラフト作成、更新、締結を管理を担当する。
  • 外部アドバイザーと協働し、税務調査対応(資料提供、照会対応など)をサポートする。
  • 各種税務関連プロジェクトや部門横断的なイニシアチブへの参画・支援。
  • 税務関連プロセスの改善、効率化、オートメーション化の機会を特定し、実行につなげる。
  • 法人税関連の税制改正や会計基準の変更点をモニタリングし、事業への影響を評価する。

応募資格(必須・歓迎要件)

  • 会計分野の学士号必須。公認会計士資格、または税務関連の修士号をお持ちの方は歓迎。
  • 多国籍企業または監査法人での法人税務経験8年以上。USの税務会計(ASC 740)の実務経験がある方は特に歓迎。
  • 日本語・英語ともにビジネスレベル(読み・書き・会話)。
  • 他部門や外部アドバイザーと円滑に連携できる、優れたコミュニケーション能力と協働姿勢をお持ちの方。
  • 高い分析力・問題解決力を備え、細部に注意を払いながら正確に業務を進められる方。
  • PCスキルが高く、SAP、OneSource、Alteryx の使用経験があれば尚可。
  • 自主性を持ち、スピーディーな環境の中でも優先順位をつけて正確に業務を遂行できる方。
