Job Overview:
We're looking for a technical communications Engineer to manage all technical publications for Cadence® Reality™DC and CelsiusEC Solver software products. This position will be empowered to hire a new team in Noida and help transition from the existing UK team. The new team will create and maintain software documentation, user training materials and release collateral for both products. Liaising with the software development teams in the UK and US, through the Agile SDLC, the successful candidate will manage a writing group responsible creating or updating existing user guides for modelling and simulation applications and their evolving functionality, and convert technical information from developers and engineers into easily digestible content.
Job Responsibilities:
- Hire, train and motivate a new team based in Noida to replace the current writing team in the UK. The new team must be operational by end of Q1 2026.
- Cooperate with development and application engineering teams, and undertake your own research, to understand how to use the software and its features.
- The documentation team will be part of the development sprint workflow, and as such be available for sprint meetings, deliver feedback on issues being worked on and deliver documentation on time to close off each sprint.
- As the manager for the group, this role will be part of the software rollout and signoff process for each major and minor releases, and be responsible for documentation quality and agreeing when the software is ready to release.
- The new team must create and maintain the documentation profile of the software by converting technical information into clear content, including:
- Software documentation - the 'F1 Help', which explains every aspect of the software. This should help new users to confidently use the software, and also provide advanced users with the detailed information they need.
- Training materials - tutorials and other materials to introduce new users to the software, and to teach existing users about newly-added functionality.
- Release collateral - technical documents published when a new software version is released, such as installation guides, technical specification requirements and release notes.
- Work with the Product Engineering Group Director to implement internal processes for increasing efficiency and consistency within the documentation team.
Job Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and able to take complicated technical subjects and explain them simply and clearly.
- Excellent management skills to build, train, motivate and retain a new team
- Experience of transitioning/off-shoring teams to India
- Observant in identifying areas of improvement for a documentation profile, both in content and structure.
- Experience working on CAD or physics-based engineering software.
- Self-motivated, and can work unsupervised and deliver to a deadline.
- Working knowledge of XML, HTML and CSS.
- Working knowledge of document design and layout for print and digital media
- Experience with Git or similar source control system.
- A degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, English or other relevant discipline.
- 8+ years + relevant experience in a technical communications role, with working. knowledge of MadCap Flare or another single-sourcing, content management tool.

Additional Information:
The successful applicant will report remotely to the Product Engineering Group Director based with the development team in London, UK.
