Position Description: DSP Product Marketing Manager
Tensilica DSPs are leading processor IP deployed in billions of embedded products and SOCs to enable next-generation high performance and energy efficient solutions. These DSPs are used in vision, audio, voice, radar, lidar products, and leverage a combination of classical signal processing as well as AI-based implementations.
As a DSP Product Marketing Manager (PMM), you will be part of the Tensilica Products Group (TPG) and will be responsible for marketing Tensilica DSPs. You will sit at the intersection of engineering, marketing, and sales to define product roadmaps, strategies, and create technical requirements for next generation products that solve complex customer challenges. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of successful product promotions and launches, and has technical expertise to delve into the internals of the products.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Design, write, and publish deep technical content, including blogs, white papers, case studies, design guides, and presentations that educate developers and engineers on product capabilities and use cases.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage product journey from inception to end-of-life and all in between, write and present MRDs and PRDs, get buy-in from stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, product management, and field teams to translate technical features into clear, concise, and compelling value propositions for target personas.
- Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Develop and execute GTM plans for product launches, ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing, sales, and partner channels.
- Technical Advocacy & Evangelism: Serve as a public-facing evangelist, representing the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to showcase product capabilities and gather market insights. Define and manage product demos.
- Sales & Partner Enablement: Create training materials, competitive battle cards, and technical resources to equip sales teams and partners with the information needed to drive adoption and win deals.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor evolving trends, market dynamics, SWOTs, and competitive landscape to position products for success.
Requirements
- Position Requirements: 5 or more years of total relevant work experience in semiconductor, SOC or chipset product management or marketing. Experience with marketing DSPs, NPUs, or other processors is bonus.
- Technical Expertise: Background or knowledge of DSPs, DSP programming and applications in the latest AI/ML software and frameworks, tools, quantization, compilers e.g. Executorch, LiteRT, TFLm, MLIR etc. used in embedded products. Domain expertise and applications in Audio, Voice, Vision, radar and Lidar processing is beneficial.
- Marketing Experience: Proven experience in technical or product marketing roles, with a track record of developing high-impact narratives that resonate with both technical and executive audiences.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into understandable and engaging content.
- Strategic Thinking: An analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to define and track key product marketing metrics and leverage AI in daily workflows to maximize efficiency.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field is often preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Candidate must be results driven, passionate, and showing high degree of personal initiative and ability to work independently,

Travel: Occasional domestic and internation travel for customer tours, product promotions, event and conference attendance will be required.

The annual salary range for California is $154,000 to $286,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
