Sr. Network Engineer (Hybrid)

We're seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure a high-performing network infrastructure that drives our organization forward. In this role, you'll lead complex network projects, optimize performance, enhance security, and ensure seamless connectivity across cloud and on-prem environments. You'll also mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and innovative network solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Network Design & Implementation: Lead the design and deployment of complex network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and cloud-based infrastructures, to support organizational needs and growth.
- Network Security: Implement and manage network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for network-related issues, ensuring quick resolution to maintain business continuity.
- Project Leadership: Manage and execute network-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Mentorship & Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems and applications.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role
- Proficiency in network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of network automation and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies.
- Financial industry experience a plus
