Role Overview
We are seeking a multilingual Client Services Manager to serve as the primary liaison for our South Korea and Japan-based US proxy clients, bridging language and cultural differences while ensuring high-quality US proxy service delivery. You will support prospect contractual negotiations, lead client implementations, coordinate operations (data processing, programming, tabulation), and provide ongoing post-implementation support. Fluency in Korean, Japanese and English is required.
Responsibilities
- Act as the multilingual (Korean, Japanese, and English) liaison for South Korea and Japan-based US proxy clients, interpreting contractual terms and facilitating negotiations.
- Lead and coordinate client implementations and onboarding across operations (data processing, programming, tabulation), ensuring timely, accurate execution.
- Manage day-to-day client relationships and serve as primary contact for inquiries, incidents and escalations; analyze root causes and coordinate fixes with internal teams.
- Translate and explain technical and contractual information between Korean/Japanese clients and English-speaking teams to ensure mutual understanding.
- Monitor service delivery metrics, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare reports on client satisfaction and operational performance.
- Identify and recommend process improvements, risk mitigations and efficiency gains across delivery workflows.
- Collaborate closely with sales, technical support, product management and other stakeholders to align on client needs and drive service enhancements.

- Native or near-native fluency in Korean and Japanese, and professional fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3+ years' experience inclient service, account management, or implementation within financial services, proxy services, or a related technology service environment (experience in the mutual fund or insurance sectors is a plus).
- Strong understanding of operational delivery (data processing, programming, tabulation) and the ability to coordinate technical teams.
- Proven negotiation skills and comfort interpreting contractual terms across languages and cultures.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems and ticketing/issue-tracking tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work on-site in our Tokyo office.
- Experience in asset servicing/proxy voting would be an advantage
- Experience working in bilingual/multilingual environments supporting institutional clients.
- Familiarity with US proxy processes and service delivery models.
- Basic knowledge of project management practices and process improvement methodologies.
