The Role: We are seeking a T&E Team Lead to support and optimize our global Travel & Expense and Corporate Card programs. In this pivotal role, you will work across the organization, ensuring compliance, automation, and efficiency in these areas. You will drive process improvements, implement automation, and enhance the user experience while ensuring adherence to global compliance and financial controls.

As a leader, you will possess strong project management skills and deep operational insight, ensuring solutions align with day-to-day processes. You will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead the T&E function for EMEA while overseeing global operations

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be the bridge between strategic vision and operational excellence. You will own the day-to-day operations while driving the execution of the travel strategy in line with organizational goals.

Team Leadership & Global Operations

  • Manage the T&E team based in Amsterdam, providing coaching, performance management, and development support.
  • Oversee T&E operational activities in the Center of Excellence in India, ensuring alignment with headquarters and high-quality service delivery.
  • Partner effectively with global HR teams (Mobility, Benefits, Operations) and local Risk teams to ensure high service levels for business travelers.
  • Manage vendor relationships (TMCs, OBT providers, Card issuers). Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews and annual reviews, including performance evaluations, and support contract negotiations to ensure cost-effectiveness and SLA compliance.

Strategy, Policy & Corporate Cards

  • Support the creation and execution of the global T&E strategy in collaboration with regional teams and corporate leadership.
  • Develop and update global Expense, Travel, and Corporate Card policies, guidelines, and procedures to align with company strategy, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Lead the implementation and management of Corporate Card programs (T&E, P-Card, and Lodge cards), including the oversight of credit card data feed integrations in Concur.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention, and enhance the overall efficiency of all travel processes.

Concur Configuration & Technical SME

  • Leverage Concur configuration expertise to maintain and enhance system functionality. Maintain systems to ensure they are integrated and support the traveler's experience.
  • Manage Concur policies, workflows, expense types, audit rules, and localization settings. Maintain and configure travel allowances and mileage for multiple countries.
  • Optimize interfaces and integrations with platforms like Workday, SAP, AppZen.
  • Support the integration of new acquisitions into the company's Concur ecosystem.
  • Standardize and optimize Corporate Card program.

Compliance, Risk & Reporting

  • Support system audits, compliance, and financial controls. Ensure effective user access management and SOD.
  • Utilize Concur Intelligence for advanced reporting. Provide actionable insights on travel, expense, and corporate card data to management, identifying trends, risks, and cost analysis.
  • Develop and maintain end-user resources, including internal knowledge pages, FAQs, trainings, and user guides.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in shared services, procure-to-pay, or corporate finance roles within large multinational companies.
  • SAP Concur Certified Administrator Professional (Concur Professional Expense with advanced configuration expertise) is required. LSS and Project Management Certification is a strong plus.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Concur Expense, Travel, and Corporate Card programs.
  • Proven track record of process automation, policy standardization, and cost optimization in a global environment. Experience working in rapid-growth, M&A, and transformation scenarios.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, risk management, and financial controls.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in Concur Intelligence reporting to verify data and distribute insights to stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization. Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage change management initiatives.
