Role Overview

The Flights vertical is one of the fastest growing areas of Booking.com. Our goal is to offer each customer the easiest experience to find and book the right flight, with the ambition to create a whole new way to experience air travel that's convenient, intuitive and ultimately more traveler-friendly.

The Flights Strategic Growth Team is a part of the Flights Commercial Track and its main responsibility is to identify, assess, plan for, and execute initiatives that ensure sustainable growth of the Flights business. The team consists of people from different crafts.

The Delivery Lead drives the execution of highly cross functional initiatives and BAU activities, partnering with various teams within Flights to operationalize initiatives and act as a bridge between Flights and other BUs, verticals, central functions, and external partners to ensure smooth delivery of all projects.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be at the forefront of bringing structure and efficiency in the way that the Flights Commercial Track is working, to ensure higher speed and impact
  • Manage cross functional projects; from scoping, planning, metric definition, governance, tracking and documentation
  • Build strong relationship and engagement with stakeholders in and outside of the Flights vertical, ensure tactical and operational alignment and gain commitment
  • Provide professional, clear and timely communication with project owners and stakeholders on progress and blockers
  • Coordinate delivery of required processes for initiatives, such as Risk Assessment Questionnaire (RAQ)
  • Create and/or improve source of truth documents for new and existing projects, set up maintenance process for them
  • Work with Flights Program Managers and represent the Commercial Track in the development of i) operating models with supporting functions ii) engagement with our suppliers and partners and iii) overall way of working setup within Flights team
  • Proactively identify improvements and synergies in way of working across different teams and drive execution of those
  • Support in commercial strategy development and market improvement plan - e.g. performing competitive market analyses, supporting business case development, coordinating insight gathering from different teams...etc


Role Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor degree
  • The ideal candidate has at least 3 years experience in a commercial or strategic role (e.g. Commercial Analyst, Strategy consultant or similar)
  • Solid familiarity with project/change management and process improvement
  • A critical thinker who is comfortable in contributing to business analysis and strategy development
  • Ability to lead multiple low /medium complexity projects or portfolio of projects
  • Has a solid business understanding, independently run quantitative and qualitative business analysis to drive decision making
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills focused on collaboration. Building and maintaining lasting relationships and connections with diverse teams
  • Ability and preference to take ownership, entrepreneurial, proactive with positive attitude, a self-starter who can manage multiple initiatives/priorities
