Role Description: The Flights Revenue & Growth team at Booking.com develops and executes the commercial strategy for the Flights vertical, focusing on accelerating optimal growth through Marketing & Merchandising, Strategic Growth, and Revenue Optimisation.
The Revenue Optimisation team analyzes business performance, trends, and opportunities to generate insights and build strategies for booking and revenue growth.
The Flights Senior Revenue Analyst supports the Revenue Optimisation Team by using pricing, revenue, sales, market, and competitive data to derive performance insights and drive tactical revenue management actions. This role is instrumental in understanding business drivers and leading commercial opportunities to contribute to organizational growth.
The role also involves shaping the revenue optimisation strategy by building business cases to prioritize new products, markets, channels, or segments. They use modeling and forecasting to evaluate the full impact of decisions, treating revenue as an investment to accelerate revenue-positive growth.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, inquisitive self-starter who takes ownership and leverages their skills to support the entire Flights Revenue & Growth team.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead analyses of sales, revenue, and commercial data to develop performance insights, guiding strategic decision-making and continuous development of the multi-channel revenue strategy.
- Own and support various flights strategy projects, creating commercial and financial models, including in-depth Business Cases, to support flights revenue strategy development.
- Design, implement, and evaluate price experimentation, using in-depth analysis to present findings to multiple stakeholders.
- Develop analyses to drive insight into pricing competitiveness and create winning pricing strategies in collaboration with the Flights Revenue Optimisation Manager.
- Monitor performance, meeting with key stakeholders to identify drivers, present analysis and insights on current trends, forecast future expectations, and effectively communicate across the Flights business.
- Participate in cross-team strategic projects, championing revenue management principles, and providing commercial input to drive revenue growth.
- Build reports and dashboards to enhance performance reporting, enable data access, and facilitate the sharing of insights with business leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 5+ years experience in a highly analytical commercial role.
- Very strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills, distilling data into insights and viable strategies.
- Knowledge of SQL and other data analysis techniques or experience using BI tools (like Microstrategy).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical reasoning.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and with conviction.
- Team player with strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability and preference to take ownership, entrepreneurial, proactive, and a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities. Experience in sales/pricing/revenue management in the airline, flights OTA, transport industries or similar e-commerce roles is highly desirable.
