Senior Project Manager - BHFS Program
About the Role
Booking.com is building BHFS (Booking Holdings Financial Services), a new regulated provider of payment and e-money services. This large, multi-year program involves 500+ people and will transition Booking.com's payment services into a future-ready, secure, and compliant platform supporting all BHI brands.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be part of the central Program Management team driving this transformation. You will lead complex, cross-functional projects end to end ensuring strong planning, governance, risk management, and regulatory alignment. Your work will directly contribute to future-proofing Booking.com's global payment and e-money capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-complexity, end-to-end projects from scoping through delivery and handover.
- Define project objectives, success criteria, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Manage execution, track progress, and maintain clear and timely stakeholder communication.
- Establish project governance structures to support effective decision-making.
- Drive impactful outcomes by coordinating across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, support strategy workstreams, and contribute to change management efforts.
- Lead independently medium complexity projects with global impact (cross-functional) driving them through execution, analysis, recommendation and implementation
- Apply change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
- Communicate project insights and recommendations across all stakeholders
- Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels inside and if required outside of the organization
Requirements of special knowledge/skills
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in project management role
- Proven experience managing medium to large, cross-functional projects; Agile background preferred. PMP, Agile PM, or equivalent certification is a plus
- Background in FinTech or Banking is preferred, not a must.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders up to Director level.
- Experience navigating complex, fast-changing environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complexity.
- Solid familiarity with project/change management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
