Role: Booking.com's Transformation Office is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Program & Value Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the company-wide Future Fit program, combining end-to-end tactical program execution with rigorous financial planning and control. From strategic objective setting and scoping to ensuring accountability for the company's significant transformation initiatives, this role serves as the driving force that collaborates with multiple departments to deliver significant change, create capacity, and increase organizational velocity.

This is a high-impact, senior-level role requiring a professional with a proven track record of operating with a high degree of autonomy, functioning well within ambiguity, and adapting to a constantly changing environment. The core responsibility spans the full program lifecycle: from the independent development of complex financial models to forecast outcomes and track value, to actively driving the scoping, planning, and end-to-end implementation of cross-functional initiatives. Beyond technical financial expertise, a critical function is the ability to break down complex problems into actionable solutions, translating intricate financial data into clear, concise business insights and strategic recommendations.
The role demands proactive communication, persuasive presentation of findings, and the ability to constructively challenge the status quo to drive both superior financial performance and rapid strategic decision-making. Acting as a true change agent, you will guide the human side of the transformation, explicitly communicating the 'why' and 'how' of change to encourage a growth mindset across the business.
Serving as the primary point of contact for the executive steering committee at Booking.com, Booking Holdings, and Business Unit Leadership, you will ensure program accountability, resolve complex cross-functional bottlenecks, and provide the clarity required to inform critical corporate decisions.
By establishing robust portfolio governance, leading facilitation workshops, and leveraging the Future Fit 'Results Rhythm,' you will empower departments to uncover efficiency opportunities, seamlessly implement initiatives, and continuously drive the program toward its overarching objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Program Governance
- Drive the scoping, end-to-end planning, and overall roadmap of the Future Fit program and its underlying initiatives.
- Maintain the program's governance frameworks, methodologies, and cross-organizational structures to simplify processes and ensure long-term operational success.
- Bring clarity to sponsors and teams by defining and documenting program objectives, requirements, success criteria, and KPIs.
- Track program status and proactively manage risks, issues, and interdependencies, developing actionable mitigation plans to ensure timelines are met.
- Actively connect the dots across workstreams to identify synergies, manage competing priorities, and elevate critical insights to the portfolio level.
- Enable teams and leaders to make quality decisions and support effective prioritization within the program.
- Ensure seamless handovers to operations upon initiative completion to guarantee sustained business value.
Value Tracking & Financial Control
- Ensure adherence to program principles and corporate accounting policies regarding target setting, tracking, and transformation costs.
- Develop a deep understanding of all benefits calculation methodologies and how they relate to budgeting and forecasting.
- Track benefits against targets at an aggregate level, actively supporting business controllers in their engagements with department owners.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and coaching to direct reports, ensuring high-quality financial output and accountability for program cost tracking.
Stakeholder Engagement, Reporting & Governance Rhythms
- Serve as a strong business partner and primary point of contact for the SteerCo, Booking Holdings leadership, Workstream Leads, and FP&A.
- Translate intricate financial data and model outputs into clear, actionable business insights to drive strategic decision-making.
- Own and lead key Future Fit 'Results Rhythm' and reporting meetings (e.g., SteerCo, Leadership Team, FFPO Sponsor meetings, Monthly Value Alignment, and Quarterly external reporting).
- Ensure all program management information and reporting is accurate and delivered on time, leveraging live dashboards to reflect real-time status.
Change Management
- Act as a change agent by explicitly communicating the "why," "what," and "how" of transformational changes to the business.
- Encourage teams to embrace a growth mindset and adopt new ways of working, adjusting communication styles to effectively influence diverse audiences.
Key skills and experience:
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-oriented field required OR Specialized certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA equivalent, etc.) highly recommended
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience, including a proven track record of people management.
- Significant prior experience as a Program Lead / Controller in large, multi-year transformations with strong cross-functional coordination.
- Solid knowledge of core accounting concepts and financial governance.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business operations, drivers, and the impact of transformations, with a proven ability to connect financial data to overarching corporate strategy.
- Analytical Acumen: Advanced capability to synthesize complex information, build robust financial models, and translate intricate concepts into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Program Leadership: Significant prior experience as a Program Lead or Controller in large, multi-year programs with strong cross-functional coordination experience.
- Technical & Financial Skills: Solid knowledge of core accounting concepts with required proficiency in advanced Excel (Google Sheets is a plus).
- Executive Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a proven track record of successfully presenting data and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and BU management.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to drive solutions in partnership with diverse teams, manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously, navigate difficult conversations, and constructively challenge the status quo.
- Problem Solving & Autonomy: An extremely reliable, hands-on deliverer who can solve complex problems independently by breaking them down into actionable, easy-to-understand solutions.
- Adaptability: Proactive, organized, and results-oriented mindset; comfortable working in cross-functional teams, functioning well within ambiguity, and adapting to a constantly changing environment.
