About the team:
Machine Learning and AI are integral to Booking.com's mission of making it easier for everyone to experience the world. In the Marketplace Data & AI department, we're on a mission to enable a personalized, trusted traveler and partner experience using ML and AI.
In order to achieve this mission, we build scalable platforms and systems, each one specializing in a different and unique domain - Ranking/Recommendations, Smart Value, Content Intelligence and AI Experiences.
What does the Content Intelligence track do?
The Content Intelligence track is at the forefront of AI technology at Booking.com. The teams are working with a variety of stakeholders across the Booking.com organization, in order to unlock AI powered use cases through building reusable models, agents and workflows. We support use cases like free text search, dialogs, text generation and summarization, content analysis and many more. Starting 2024, the teams have built a suite of end-to-end GenAI capabilities that are already available for Booking.com users across the world.
Role Description:
Within the Content Intelligence track, we're hiring a Product Manager Machine Learning to lead the Agentic Modeling team. This team's mission is to design and evolve robust agentic capabilities that enable intelligent agents to reason, act, and improve connected experience at scale. These agentic capabilities will power a wide range of partner and guest facing experiences.
As a Product Manager in this team, you will lead the strategy, long-term vision, and success definition of AI products. You'll partner with teams all across the track and company to help realize the team's vision and grow value for our customers and businesses.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Own and lead the Agentic Modeling team's vision, mission, roadmap and end to end execution while partnering closely with the team's ML manager, ML scientists and ML engineers.
- Build and adapt the product strategy to the constantly evolving needs and constraints imposed by the business.
- Work with your engineering and ML counterparts to prioritize the team backlog, aligning day-to-day execution with user and business needs.
- Work closely with product partners across the department to deeply understand the direction of the business and the problems customers face, extract requirements, translate them into clear, actionable ML requirements and prioritize them ruthlessly.
- Define, measure and communicate the team's success metrics, progress and impact to the business leadership in a transparent and effective way.
- Guiding and scaling new agentic capabilities from inception to launch while keeping customers at the center of everything.
- Explore and evaluate emerging technologies to stay at the forefront of innovation around agent capabilities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience in product management roles.
- Previous experience and deep level of understanding of Machine Learning foundations and AI applications.
- Passionate about translating advanced ML research into solutions that address real customer problems.
- Proven ability to manage product roadmaps while balancing and prioritizing requirements from diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to articulate complex technical aspects as a clear and compelling narrative.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Be able to clearly communicate with the business at all levels.
- Effective at engaging with ML engineers, data scientists, and internal users of the AI capabilities, translating technical detail into actionable goals.
- Excellent prioritization and planning skills in time critical situations while balancing customer & business needs.
- An analytical orientation and strong problem-solving skills demonstrated by the ability to structure issues and analyze alternative solutions.
- Team player with a bottom-up ideation process.
