The role: The Procurement Specialist plays a key supporting role within the procurement team, contributing to sourcing activities, supplier management, and procurement operations across Booking Holdings brands. The role typically manages sourcing projects valued up to ₠10M, and contributes to the development and execution of category strategies for Customer Service and Sustainability for portfolios valued at ₠50M-₠500M. This position ensures compliant, cost-effective, and value-driven procurement processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities and duties:
Sourcing and category support
- Lead and execute sourcing events for products or services with a project value up to ₠10M
- Support the development and execution of category strategies valued at ₠50M-₠500M for the Customer Service and Sustainability categories, under guidance from the Category Lead or Senior Manager
- Perform supplier identification, evaluation, and negotiations based on pre-aligned strategy
- Assist in the preparation of sourcing documents, contracts, and business cases
Supplier Performance & Risk
- Monitor supplier delivery and performance metrics to ensure compliance and service quality
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to address issues and facilitate communication
- Ensure contracts, pricing, and risk profiles are maintained in line with company policies
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Engage with internal stakeholders such as the Sourcing & Commercial Vendor Managers for CS EPS and SES, and the Program Managers in Sustainability to gather business requirements and support decision-making
- Act as a procurement point-of-contact for operational and transactional queries
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Finance, and Data Privacy functions during contract and vendor onboarding processes
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze spend data and procurement KPIs to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement
- Maintain procurement documentation and contribute to regular reporting
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and support system/data accuracy
- Contribute in driving year-on-year cost savings by optimizing both price and demand levers, in alignment with assigned savings targets and evolving business needs.
- Help generate additional value beyond cost and price reduction through innovation, process efficiency, supplier collaboration, and risk mitigation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years of procurement or sourcing experience in Customer Service and Professional Services, ideally in a multinational or matrixed environment
- Familiarity with sourcing processes, contract negotiation, and stakeholder engagement with key stakeholders within the Customer service and Sustainability category.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level), and experience with ERP or eProcurement tools (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Ariba)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
