Manager, Marketing Technology
DPE (Digital Partner Ecosystem) aims to drive measurable impact for our accommodation partners by providing advice and support through our partner-facing digital touchpoints (Extranet, Partner Hub, email). We do this by delivering personalized, automated journeys and practical guidance across channels, offering information and support through our digital platforms. This is powered by educational and commercial content, personalized data points and insights, and hands-on actions partners can take.
About the role:
Lead the Marketing Technology function for Booking.com's Digital Partner Ecosystem, managing a team who enable thousands of accommodation partners through cutting-edge marketing automation. You'll define strategy across Push Channels (email, notifications, social media), Pull Channels (web/app banner orchestration), and Advanced Marketing Automations, while managing multi-million euro technology investments and building a high-performing team.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Strategy & innovation: Define long-term MarTech vision across push, pull, and automation channels; drive implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (MCE) and Data Cloud solutions
- Team leadership: Manage and coach Marketing Technology Leads, foster innovation culture, provide situational leadership across diverse channel expertise
- Business planning: Develop annual/half-year plans, prioritize backlogs across 3 channel areas, track success metrics, ensure GDPR and data privacy compliance
- Vendor management: Own relationships with external software providers (Salesforce, etc.), negotiate contracts, manage multi-million euro budgets
- Data ownership: Own data model, quality, and accuracy across marketing technology stack
- Stakeholder influence: Build productive relationships with marketing, analytics, product, and engineering teams
- Craft Development: Play an active role in developing the craft and building a guild of professionals
Role Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3+ years leading global marketing technology teams (B2B and high volume experience preferred)
- 5+ years in marketing technology and business analytics
- Strong technical expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud (equivalent depth on other similar tools considered)
- Proven people management track record: building teams, coaching talent, driving change
- Expert in leading through influence - ability to drive outcomes without direct authority
- Business and technology acumen to translate strategic objectives into technical roadmaps
- Experience managing vendor relationships and multi-million euro budgets
- Exceptional communication skills to facilitate discussions with both execution teams and leadership
- Creative thinker with analytical mindset and experimentation culture
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of people management experience
- B2B marketing technology experience in multinational environments
