Liquidity Product Lead (6 month FTC)

The Role:
The role of the Liquidity Product Lead is to design and implement liquidity forecasting solutions to mitigate liquidity risks and optimize liquidity structures. He or she is responsible for managing the internal systems architecture, driving forecasting automation efforts and improving forecasting accuracy across multiple entities of Booking Holdings. He or she works closely together with accounting, treasury, tax, FP&A, Financial Systems teams, external consultants and senior leaders in Finance to ensure that our Cash Forecasting processes are run effectively, forecasting variances are explained and without operational errors. This includes design and implementation of scalable liquidity forecasting and processes for regulated entities. The Liquidity Product Lead actively identifies improvement opportunities in capital allocation strategies, maintains robust reporting for ELT and LT teams

- Implement automated forecasting solutions for various group entities including the design of the processes and control narratives
- Maintain and drive improvements to liquidity forecasting accuracy
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Accounting, Financial Systems, external product specialists and consultants.
- Implement adequate system solutions, ensuring processes are in place to measure and evaluate forecasting accuracy, conduct attribution analysis explaining the variances and report results to senior management
- Continuously improve liquidity forecasting solutions in order to meet business demand;
- Assist Senior leaders in Treasury with making in-depth analysis on liquidity and how this may impact business decisions;
- Actively contribute to the team by identifying and proposing changes in both internal and external processes to increase compliance, efficiency and promote capital efficiency.
- Ownership and implementation of suitable process documents and controls surrounding liquidity forecasting;
- Closely collaborate with Cash Management team ensuring short-term and long term forecasts are aligned
- Assume a leading role in the design of liquidity forecasting processes and solutions for newly established regulated entities
- Provide advice on capital transactions, and business change decisions for the structuring of optimal liquidity solutions;
- Steer and advise on optimal cash management structures for entities across the Group
- Ad-hoc projects
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5-8 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in financial modeling/optimization forecasting techniques
- Extensive knowledge of SAP S4 / Gustav and general understanding of GL accounting
- Experience with planning/modeling on Anaplan platform and or experience with tools such as Python, MySQL, Tableau
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence others
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful
- Solution oriented and result driven
- Proactive and capable of working independently as well as working in a team.
