We are looking for an enthusiastic hyper-automation full stack Intelligent Automation professional to drive our increasing demand from the business, support our rapidly growing portfolio and make an impact across every business area at Booking.com. We look at our team as a service provider for the entire company, operating with a large degree of autonomy and entrepreneurship

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

People Leadership

  • Inspire and motivate multiple cross technology tracks
  • Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management experience
  • Good commercial awareness and technical vision
  • You are a humble and thoughtful technology leader, you lead by example
  • Directly manage engineers across global sites : AMS & BLR
  • Lead by example by taking ownership, being proactive and collaborative
  • Nurture, grow and develop engineering talent in the team
  • Foster a great culture that innovates, work together as a team, partner with other Booking.com teams and roles and celebrates unified success
  • Respect the Booking.com values and use them as a guide to the way we work

Technology, Craft & Delivery
  • Engineering delivery, quality and practices within own team
  • Delivery of the wider engineering strategic objectives
  • Embed agile ways of working and company values within the team
  • Ability to get into the technical detail (where required) to coach, support and mentor the team
  • Adhere to the default principles for architecture, quality and non-functional requirements
  • Contribute to the evolution of best practices across the department
  • Drive a culture of ownership and technical excellence, including reactive work such as incident escalations
  • Learn new technologies and keep abreast of existing technologies to be able to share learnings and apply these to a variety of projects when needed


Role Qualifications and Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience developing hyper-automation solutions
  • CS, Engineering or similar university background is a MUST HAVE
  • GenAI hands-on knowledge is MUST HAVE
  • Understanding of ML Ops & Observability to monitor & maintain GenAI solutions
  • Professional experience with MCPs, APIs and Web Services
  • Understanding of ML & Advanced ML Concepts : Experience with Modelling
  • Automation Architecture& Infrastructure to drive best-practices & governance
  • Proficiency in core Python libraries like pandas,NumPy, Sklearn, NLTK, Keras
  • Exposure to AI/ML libraries in python - Tensorflow,PyTorch, etc
  • Working knowledge of NLP : Semantic search, sentiment analysis,NERs
  • Understanding of AWS : RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda,Sagemaker, VPC
  • Experience with VAULT, PASSPORT, Gitlab for Config Management
  • Exposure to IAC : Terraform, Puppet, Chocolatey
  • Experience working in a scrum/agile environment
