As Director of Product, you will drive the ecosystem that defines how partners interact with Booking.com. Sitting at the intersection of business empowerment and global regulation, you will lead the teams responsible for Pulse (our mobile partner app), the Extranet, and our Connectivity solutions. You will also oversee our Compliance Product track, transforming complex global regulatory and tax requirements into seamless, frictionless digital experiences that protect both our partners and our platform.

This role is central to two critical areas that define how our partners interact with and operate on the platform:

  • Partner Platforms: Act as the solution architect for the global systems partners use to manage their business, which includes Pulse (the accommodation partner app), Extranet, Connectivity solutions, and Partner AI. This involves guiding partners on optimal business management and preparing the platform for future interaction methodologies and technologies.
  • Partner Compliance Product: Oversee the partner-facing products that ensure compliant business operations for both partners and Booking. This is essential given the evolving regulatory and tax landscape. The focus is on providing seamless compliance and tax remittance processes, mitigating the increased scrutiny from regulators and tax bodies.

This role oversees multiple product tracks in Amsterdam and leads a team of group product managers.

Span of Control & Organizational Scope

  • Manages a team of product managers in Amsterdam.
  • Oversees 3 product tracks spanning both platform and partner-facing experiences.
  • Directly manages 3 GPMs and 1 PPMs and a total team size of 17 (indirect) reports
  • Partners with cross-functional engineering, product marketing, design, data science, and research teams of 200+ FTEs.
  • Responsible for building alignment with multiple business units and commercial teams, ensuring platform relevance, consistency, and shared accommodation partner vision across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the long-term vision and product strategy for Partner Platforms & Compliance, aligned with Booking.com's Accommodation Product strategy.
  • Responsible for the accommodation partner product vision, allowing accommodation partners to optimally interact on our platform, and preparing for optimal placement in the hospitality ecosystem with focus on technologies that might disrupt our ecosystem
  • Foster a culture of collaboration between technology, commercial and product teams, allowing for an outside in and customer centric suite of partner products
  • Deliver impact across three horizons: immediate operational wins, mid-term foundational capabilities, and long-term innovation.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, developing future leaders while selectively diving deep where impact is highest.
  • Drive platform evolution ensuring adoption and self-service capabilities that scale.
  • Partner closely with product peers, engineering, AI, data science, design, and research to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business units, creating alignment and cross-team collaboration.
  • Define and embed a stable operating model in partnership with technology and data leadership.
  • Inspire a culture of excellence, motivating teams to exceed a high bar of craft and impact.
  • Drive key performance metrics to measure both customer outcomes and platform adoption, using insights to inform decisions.

Key Skills

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale platform or transactional systems products.
  • Proven track record in building customer centric culture and teams
  • Experience driving both platform and customer-facing product strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills, with ability to build, coach, and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and collaboration skills across complex organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a bias toward data-informed decision-making.
  • Deep background in travel, marketplaces, or other high-scale transactional systems strongly preferred.

  • Partner Platform solution design following Partner CUJOs: assuring consistent approach following critical partner customer journeys across the various accommodation platforms operated by Booking.com
  • Delivering the Partner AI Platform: experiment, learn and deduce what out Partner AI platform should look like, and execute on those learnings
  • Defining and shaping Booking's place in the partner technology ecosystem: Build and execute on the partner ecosystem strategy, understanding how technologies might change the role of the various players in the ecosystem, and assure the right placement of the partner platforms to assure longevity
