Content Producer - Visual Content Services

Yesterday Amsterdam, Netherlands

Role purpose

The Content Producer is primarily responsible for turning the Booking Ads team's content production needs into reality through high-quality visual content that drives advertising performance, contributing to revenue growth, and scale across all our platforms.

In this role you will be responsible for accelerating a new content initiative; ensuring the ability to produce consistently high velocity visual content for use in co-branded advertising projects. We anticipate working with production partners to create high-quality visuals that help us land international partnerships and successfully bid for multiple (RFP based) large-scale projects globally.

Additional day to day work will focus on broader visual content acquisition needs within Visual Content Services, ensuring a constant, diverse and high-quality supply of visual assets through internal and vendor collaborations.

This is a leading, hands-on producer role with no direct people management: you operate with a high degree of independence, shape how we acquire content, and orchestrate internal and external partners to deliver at scale.

Key Responsibilities (what you'll do)

  • As visual content enablement expert and producer you'll act as the primary point of contact on visual content acquisitions and production of global content. You'll run regular check-ins with business and production stakeholders on pipeline health, priorities and trade-offs between production methods.
  • Act as a creative partner to guide, define and refine creative solutions to content problems in collaboration with other creative peers, both internal and external.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with global creative vendors and networks; create clear SOWs and production scopes, brief, negotiate and oversee vendors to ensure cost-effective production; act as budget owner for assigned productions.
  • Work with Insights and Analytics to measure the impact of visual content on performance and KPIs, refine acquisition strategies over time, and ensure taxonomy, tiering, rights compliance, budget and cost-effectiveness discipline across all your managed acquisition channels.
  • Architect and ensure the delivery of content to support RFPs and commercial briefs, balancing impact, vendors, timelines and budgets; lead the visual workstream so we show up with clear, executable creative proposals.
  • Ensure all content acquired/produced meets quality, legal and rights standards, and is suitable for scaled use across Booking.com's products and platforms; act as operational owner for asset delivery into tools and systems and define self-service capabilities for scaling.
  • Contribute logic to build scalable workflows for "visual kits", and to feed back how content and tooling affect time-to-proposal and win rates.
  • Identify and prioritise content gaps across business stakeholders; design and execute acquisition strategies across commissioned shoots, sourced libraries, repurposed assets, upscaled content and GenAI-enabled content within defined guardrails.
  • Partner with Visual Platform / Asset Architects, engineering, Commercial, Creative, Product and Data Science to ensure relevant content is correctly indexed, tiered and discoverable.

Experience
  • 8+ years' experience in visual content acquisition, creative production, media production at scale or strategic content partnerships - ideally in a digital, media, retail media or travel environment.
  • Proven track record leading end-to-end creative / production workstreams for scaled campaigns, branded content or advertising programmes, including RFP / tender environments.
  • Able to provide examples of collaborative efforts between production and applied strategic thinking.
  • Fluent in creative steering, able to translate content needs through creative briefings and conversations; demonstrating a strong understanding of visual language.
  • Demonstrated experience managing global content suppliers and production partners, including negotiating contracts, scoping multi-market shoots and ensuring rights compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Legal, Finance and Insurance to structure and manage contracts, MSAs and SOWs that support scale and protect Booking.com.
  • Hands-on experience with content delivery solutions at scale (e.g. DAM / visual content platforms) as a core part of daily work, plus experience working with or alongside product, data / analytics and engineering teams.
  • Comfortable operating at senior individual contributor level - setting direction for a domain, influencing without authority, and working independently in a complex matrix; fluent in business-level English.

Skills & behaviours
  • Deep understanding of how visual content impacts user behaviour and commercial outcomes and how to design tiered content approaches that balance quality, speed and cost.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation, operational excellence and project management skills: running multiple parallel projects, managing risk, dependencies and communication.
  • Ability to effectively communicate production proposals and trade offs to commercial partners.
  • Analytical and data-informed: able to interpret demand, performance and cost data to prioritise acquisitions and demonstrate value.
  • Proven systems knowledge using DAM / content delivery systems in delivery pipelines; and GenAI-based solutions within clear guardrails and governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder and communication skills; solid rights, legal and compliance awareness; humble, collaborative and problem-solving mindset, focused on scalable systems and playbooks rather than one-off hero projects.
  • Experience working within Jira and/or organisation wide project management tools.
