About this role
Role Purpose
The Global Operations HSE Associate - Mexico City supports the execution and continuous improvement of BlackRock's global Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) team. This role provides operational, regional and risk and controls support across multiple HSE programs.
This role partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to help identify, assess, and monitor HSE risks, maintain effective controls and support compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Global & Regional Operations
- Provide day-to-day operational support for global HSE programs, ensuring consistent execution of incident management, workplace needs, ergonomics, event safety processes, and global inbox management.
- Serve as an operational point of contact for Mexico City and regional stakeholders, supporting local implementation of global HSE standards and programs.
- Support maintenance of HSE documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and records.
- Support HSE technology platforms used for incident reporting, workplace needs, and risk tracking, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Identify data quality or control gaps and recommend improvements.
Risk & Controls
- Support the identification, documentation, and maintenance of HSE risks and controls, including contributions to HSE risk registers and control mapping.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HSE operations, compliance, risk management, or a related corporate environment.
- Foundational knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems and internal control concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency required.
