Purpose/Background:
The Financial Reporting Analyst, based in Mumbai, will play an important role in the preparation of financial information and related reporting deliverables. This position includes analysis of Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss items, oversight of numerous entities within the Americas region and the preparation of business and financial surveys. The role offers meaningful exposure to global finance partners, including Legal Entity Controllers, External Reporting, Treasury, Revenue Accounting, Corporate Costs and other Finance teams. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a focus on controls, and effective communication skills. We seek a diligent, analytical, and proactive individual who is motivated to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting accuracy while operating in a global, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze monthly balance sheet and profit & loss movements, including investigation and explanation of variances for legal entities within the US & Canada region
- Preparation of numerous business and financial surveys for various external stakeholders, adhering to monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines
- Opportunity to work on intercompany settlement analysis and cash repatriations, in conjunction with Treasury, L&C and Tax
- Prepare workpapers and supporting schedules in line with internal control requirements
- Share best practices and reporting standards across regions, where appropriate
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization to enhance efficiency and control
- Automation and process enhancement of existing processes
- Drive adoption of AI solutions across the team by developing guidance, sharing best practices, and supporting colleagues in embedding new tools into BAU workflows
- Liaise with internal and external collaborators from different teams and departments
- Opportunity to work cross-functionally with other Finance colleagues located within the region
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc initiatives, as needed

Experience/Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Self-starter, quick learner, and great teammate with an ability to adapt to change and take on responsibility
- Well-organized, methodical, and diligent with an ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information and summarize key issues
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in both spoken and written forms with all levels of the business
- Initiative and confidence to identify potential process improvement opportunities
- Independently efficient: owns responsibilities, has an acute awareness of due dates, and works methodically
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Works well with others, sharing thoughts while considering others' views
Skills/Qualifications:
- Part/nearly qualified accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- 2-3 years plus accounting experience, preferably in a "Big 4" organization/Financial Services
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SmartView & Oracle Fusion Cloud applications would be highly advantageous
