About this role
Role Summary
We are looking for a Vice President to join the Python Engineering team within Quantitative Analytics Engineering group. The role involves building production-grade analytics, data pipelines, and models on the Python Production Platform (PPP), with a focus on Pre-IPO analytics, Index creation, and Alternatives modeling.
The VP will work directly with local lead and collaborate across global engineering, research, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based analytical models for Pre-IPO, Indexing, and Alternatives.
- Build scalable, reliable pipelines using PPP, Prefect, containers, and internal tooling.
- Implement rules-based index methodologies, rebalancing logic, and simulation engines.
- Contribute to Real Estate / Private Equity / Alts frameworks (NAV, liquidity, flows, attribution).
- Design robust data ingestion & validation workflows across internal and external datasets.
- Own end-to-end delivery: requirements, development, testing, documentation, deployment.
- Drive engineering best practices and mentor junior developers.
Required Experience & Skills
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Python engineering or quantitative analytics.
- Strong command of Python, data manipulation libraries, and production code patterns.
- Experience with workflow orchestrators (Prefect, Airflow) or distributed compute.
- Understanding of financial analytics: Indexing, private markets, or alternatives preferred.
- Strong debugging, testing, and documentation habits.
- Ability to work with global cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PPP or similar internal compute frameworks.
- Knowledge of investment analytics, time-series analysis, or quant research.
- Familiarity with containers, GitHub, CI/CD, or cloud frameworks.
- CFA/FRM progress or interest in financial domain.
