Make Your Mark:

The Vice President, GTM Strategy is a strategic partner who enables the CCO to maximize effectiveness across all global commercial functions. This role drives strategic initiatives, improves operational efficiency, aligns cross-functional teams, and supports the execution of the commercial strategy. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with excellent communication and project management skills.

You'll Get To:

• Partner with the CCO to prioritize and execute global commercial initiatives across Presales, Sales, and Revenue Operations teams.
• Lead high-impact projects and strategic programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.
• Develop and drive go-to-market strategies, including segmentation, territory design, and quota planning
• Prepare executive-level presentations and board materials with clarity and compelling storytelling.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CCO, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for key decisions.
• Prepare the CCO for critical meetings by reviewing agendas, synthesizing information, and briefing on outcomes.
• Act as a communication bridge between the CCO and internal stakeholders, ensuring consistent messaging and follow-up.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align commercial operations and optimize processes.
• Facilitate collaboration across Presales, Sales, and Revenue Operations to drive customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.
• Lead or assist with special projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and act with discretion.
• Build and sustain strong relationships across the commercial organization to foster trust and alignment.

What You'll Bring:

• 15+ years of professional experience in commercial operations, strategy, project management, or related roles, experience supporting senior executives preferred.
• Strong understanding of sales, presales, revenue operations, and business development functions, ideally in a global technology or SaaS environment.
• Experience developing and driving go-to-market strategies, including segmentation, territory design, and quota planning
• Strong grasp of sales productivity levers: onboarding, enablement, playbooks, coverage models.
• Deep understanding of enterprise Ent SaaS B2B sales motions
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with a proven track record of managing complex projects end-to-end.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for various audiences, including executive leadership and board members.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and generate insights to influence business decisions.
• High emotional intelligence, executive presence, and ability to work effectively with senior leaders and diverse teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
• Experience with global teams and cross-cultural collaboration is a plus.

BlackLine recognizes that the ways we work and the workplace itself has shifted. Candidates who live within a reasonable commute to one of our offices will work in the office at least 2 days a week.

Salary Range:

USD $220,000.00 - USD $275,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location.

In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.

We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring candidates have clear information about compensation expectations. For roles that include variable incentive components such as an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) or On-Target Earnings (OTE), the compensation structure may follow a split model - for example, a 50/50, 70/30, or 60/40 ratio between base salary and variable incentive.
