Make Your Mark:
The Manager, PreSales will partner with the Sales, Professional Services and Customer Success leadership to build a high-impact organization.
The primary responsibility of the role being the building and developing of high performing Pre-Sales teams - as well influencing account strategy, coaching developing process and structure to support a growing region.
You'll Get To:
- Oversee Sales Activity
- Drive customer success, sales methodology and sales success in support of exceptional quarterly and annual sales achievement.
- Ensure successful delivery of POCs and guided technical validation efforts. Support PreSales and sales reps on all sales activities including needs analysis, data review, product demonstrations and other general sales support as a player/coach.
- Close business with accounts of all sizes and develop relationships with key customers.
- Communicate effectively with sales, management, customers, and support staff.
- Travel to customer locations in territory to support sales efforts.
- Assign PreSales to sales opportunities, managing team capacity and skillsets.
- Develop a Team
- Coach and develop a talented team of PreSales -continuously evolving and expanding their skillset. The manager focuses on putting each team member in the best position to succeed, clearing obstacles, and supporting career growth through continuous coaching and transparent communication. Know what drives everyone on the team.
- Attract, hire, manage, coach, and develop employees who embody BlackLine's culture, core values of Inclusion and Diversity, and additional Objectives and Key Results (OKR's).
- Drive change to ensure the team is structured effectively to provide proactive and reactive support to internal Blackline teams, customers, partners, and prospects.
- Create a healthy and productive team environment that sustains a highly motivated group working to achieve common objectives.
- Participate in team building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts, and customer care.

- Keep abreast of sales trends to increase your credibility in the industry e.g., going to industry events, subscribing to blogs/podcasts, reading books, researching case studies.
- Learn about the experiences other customers have with Outreach, to apply these successes and learnings to conversations. Become a solution expert - platform features, value and use cases.
- Presentation Skills
- Exudes confidence, positivity, and a natural flair for presenting to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to deliver presentations to Sales Leaders, during Quarterly Business Reviews, and other such sales, partner and company-wide meetings
- Positive Attitude to Building Sales Relationships
- Proven collaborator who can liaise with pro-actively across all levels and departments within the organisation
- Develop strong relationships across BlackLine. A successful Manager understands the importance of consistent interaction and alignment with not only other Sales leaders, but with Product, Implementation, Customer Success and Marketing as well.
- Actively engage in the sales cycle. The expectation is that the Manager participates directly in deals by lending expertise and an executive presence to help win business.
- Partner with the Sales leadership team to define and execute on success metrics for the SC team.
