About This Role: As the Value & Access Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our team dedicated to developing and implementing pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategy for Biogen's portfolio in Brazil. Your primary responsibility is to ensure market access excellence by striving for optimal pricing, reimbursement, and launch timing, while collaborating with global, regional, and local cross-functional teams. With a deep understanding of the Brazilian healthcare structure and the political and economic environment, you will identify and support key strategies to facilitate market access for new products and maintain/optimize access for existing products and pipelines. Your expertise in market access will allow you to contribute to shaping the healthcare environment and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) processes, bringing significant value to our business structure.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies for Biogen's portfolio in Brazil.
  • Collaborate with global, regional, and local cross-functional teams to ensure optimal pricing, reimbursement, and launch timing.
  • Identify and support key strategies to facilitate market access for new products and optimize access for existing products.
  • Contribute to shaping the Brazilian healthcare environment and HTA processes.
  • Leverage your understanding of the political and economic landscape to enhance market access strategies.
  • Develop payer policies and strategies to support market access goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization, including negotiation and influencing.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills and MS Excel proficiency to develop financial models and communicate implications of analyses.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, particularly in neuroscience and rare diseases.

Your ability to lead and influence others is complemented by your proficiency in strategic planning and decision-making. You thrive in cross-functional teams and excel at building relationships across all levels of an organization. You are precise and organized, with a talent for clear and comprehensive writing. Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively engage with senior leadership, and your sense of urgency ensures timely delivery of objectives. Your analytical skills, particularly in MS Excel, are complemented by your knowledge of health economics and pricing strategies.

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of the Brazilian health care environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in market access.
  • Proficient leadership, influencing, strategic planning, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in developing payer policy and strategies.
  • Precise, organized, and able to write in a comprehensive and clear way.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization, including negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team with a cross-functional mindset.
  • Strong communication skills to be able to communicate to senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of Health Economics / Pricing.
  • Sense of urgency and delivery orientation.
  • Analytical with strong MS Excel skills, including experience in developing financial models.
  • Knowledge of neuroscience/rare disease or country-specific market access experience a plus.
