About this Role
The Senior Product Manager Rare Diseases is responsible for supporting, coordinating and facilitating Rare Diseases (RD) projects in Spain, by adopting global/regional marketing programs and initiatives, fine tune them to local market and devise a local competitive marketing strategy to differentiate the brand, supported by impactful and innovative tactical programs. For other hand, gradually start preparing potential future RD commercial launches in Spain. Support the RD BU Head in managing the organization and implement tactics in alignment with Biogen's code of conduct and the strictest ethical, compliance and legal standards.
What You'll Do
- Support the preparation of Business Reviews in accordance with the local regulation and internal procedures and in alignment with country strategy.
- Translate global & regional brand strategies into actionable local plans and impactful marketing campaigns aligned with Biogen's ethical and compliance standards.
- Champion for best practice sharing at the local affiliate.
- Transform the RD product(s) strategy into tactics through marketing campaigns, projects & materials, and cross-functional projects. Supervise and coordinate events at congresses and other meetings.
- Develop, maintain and improve documents, tools and promotional materials in collaboration with Medical and Sales, introducing, training and motivating key account force on new promotional materials and Marketing campaigns.
- Drive marketing excellence in the field: support and energize KAMs, coordinate congress activities, events, and ensure brand presence in key scientific forums.
- Support the development/Coordinate regional events to improve time to diagnosis and time to treatment. Coordinate local commercial projects (mailings, e-events, sponsorships).
- Manage budgets and track performance of marketing initiatives, ensuring optimal resource allocation and measurable business impact.
- Analyze and monitor results on activities related to the brand. Build the competitive landscape together with the Customer & Market Insights team and collaborate with Decision Support to the implementation of market research initiatives.
- Maintain and build relationship with KMEs in accordance with the portfolio Stakeholder Management Plan.
- Preparation of future marketing and commercial RD launches
Who You Are
You are a strategic yet hands-on marketer, passionate about making an impact in patient-centric, science-driven environments. You enjoy working closely with the field and cross-functional teams, moving easily between strategic planning and operational execution. You are entrepreneurial, collaborative, and thrive in dynamic, high-impact roles.
Required Skills
- University degree. Master's degree in biotech, commercial or marketing strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years in a similar function in the pharmaceutical industry, including experience in the Spanish specific commercial environment.
- Track record of successful commercial and market access activities for biopharmaceutical products in Spain.
- Proven track record in hospital and specialty care marketing, ideally in neurology or oncology, rare diseases experience preferred but not a must.
- Good understanding and experience of several of the commercial function; marketing strategy, sales effectiveness, work with thought leaders, innovative commercial approaches. Deep understanding and track record of commercial success and stakeholder management, and a good understanding of commercial strategies and tools needed locally.
- Must have experience working in a sales and/or marketing team that was a part of a multifunctional team to address patient/caregiver needs, ideally in leading cross functional field team.
- High degree of learning agility to learn/understand administration and neuromuscular diseases.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills and strong Influence/impactful negotiation skills.
- Precise and accurate working style with excellent analytical skills.
- Fluent Spanish and English language.
