Job Description
The Senior Manager, Special Projects, Lupus plays a critical role in advancing U.S. Lupus launch readiness by driving execution, integration, and operational discipline across a highly matrixed organization. Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Operations for Specialty, this role serves as the day-to-day operating and execution lead for Lupus launch initiatives, partnering closely with Commercial, Medical, Access, Finance, Commercial Operations, and Analytics teams.
This role is designed for a strategic operator who can translate direction into action, manage complexity, and ensure momentum across multiple launch-critical workstreams. The Senior Manager will own PMO rigor, support budget and resourcing tracking, drive accountability to timelines, and develop high-quality materials to support Lupus LT and senior leadership decision-making.
This is a high-visibility role requiring strong judgment, executive communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous, and evolving launch environment.
What You'll Do
Lupus Operating Leadership
- Serve as the operating lead for Lupus, owning working team meeting management, materials, follow-ups, and action tracking across launch initiatives
- Act as the day-to-day integrator across Lupus cross-functional teams
- Execute against the operating cadence and priorities set by Lupus LT, ensuring decisions translate into tangible progress
Launch Planning & Special Projects
- Drive forward Lupus launch planning and priority initiatives, translating strategy into executable plans, timelines, and milestones
- Lead special projects critical to launch readiness, capability build, and risk mitigation across CLE and SLE indications
PMO, Budget & Resource Management
- Own PMO discipline across Lupus initiatives, including timelines, milestones, interdependencies, and issue tracking
- Manage Lupus budget tracking, forecasts, and variance monitoring in partnership with Finance
- Track resourcing, capacity, and readiness against launch plans; surface gaps and mitigation options
- Ensure initiatives remain on track to plan, escalating risks early with proposed solutions
- Support Lupus team build, including onboarding coordination, role clarity, and integration into the operating cadence; Help establish foundational processes, tools, and ways of working to enable rapid team effectiveness
Leadership & Executive Support
- Develop draft materials, synthesis, and insights to support Lupus LT updates and decision forums
- Prepare content for broader leadership updates and executive communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and decision orientation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, biotech/pharma, or related strategic operations roles
- Prior experience supporting commercial launch planning or launch readiness strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution across complex, cross-functional, and highly matrixed teams
- Strong PMO, planning, and organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing executive-ready materials (decision memos, leadership updates, syntheses)
- Proven ability to influence without authority and manage competing priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort operating in ambiguity
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Experience in immunology, autoimmune disease, or specialty launches a plus

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $140,000.00-$187,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
