Senior Lab Operations Associate
As a Senior Lab Operations Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the seamless day-to-day operations within our Cambridge Research laboratories. Your primary focus will be ensuring that our scientists can dedicate themselves to their research without operational hindrances. You will be the go-to person for a variety of lab operations questions, from equipment acquisition and maintenance to coordinating lab cleanouts and space planning. Your expertise will also be essential in managing safety compliance and overseeing CapEx allocation. This role thrives on collaboration, requiring you to forge and sustain strong relationships across multiple internal functions to bolster our research activities. By maintaining smooth laboratory operations, you will directly contribute to the scientific success and productivity of our team.
What You'll Do:
- Implement best practices around lab operations within Research spaces on the Cambridge, MA campus.
- Support projects that improve, streamline, or benefit Research labs and lab management, such as regular lab and cold storage cleanouts, small laboratory moves, and space planning.
- Develop and foster healthy working relationships with non-Research laboratory support functions including EHS, GLASS, Lab IT, Facilities, and Global Real Estate. Be a primary point of contact and collaboration with these functions for questions, issue escalation, and resolution.
- Work closely with Business Operations to support the allocation of Research CapEx funds, including the acquisitions and onboarding of equipment, lab-related licenses and contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Answer and solve issues, problems, or questions elevated to the Research Lab Operations team by Research scientists.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 3+ years of experience working in discovery research (direct scientific experience at the bench is highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of scientific and laboratory workflows.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build productive cross-functional and multi-level relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful in identifying and solving problems and achieving goals.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $78,000.00-$101,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
