About This Role

As the Senior Director, Head of Global Pricing and Access (V&A) for Alzheimer's Disease, you will be at the forefront of Biogen's market access and pricing strategies, with a focus on our Alzheimer's Disease pipeline. You will guide the development and execution of value and access strategies, ensuring they align with both development and commercialization efforts.

This role involves leading V&A engagement with external stakeholders and embedding V&A considerations into our strategic framework. Your work will include mapping out the Value and Access Strategic Plan, collaborating with Value Evidence Strategy team to identify evidence priorities, as well as crafting innovative access schemes and developing pricing policies in an evolving environment. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Pricing & Access, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Alzheimer's treatments, ensuring they reach patients effectively and sustainably.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of the Global Value and Access Alzheimer's pipeline team.


  • Provide strategic guidance to product development and commercialization teams for lifecycle planning.


  • Oversee the creation of market access tools to secure pricing and reimbursement for Alzheimer's and Neurodegeneration products.


  • Collaborate with Regional and Affiliate Market Access Networks to execute and adapt global pricing strategies.


  • Develop and communicate long-range Value and Access strategies for the Alzheimer's Disease and Neurodegeneration portfolio.


  • Represent Biogen at scientific and technical external events to advocate and advance access strategies.


  • Engage with Biogen's worldwide Value and Access leadership to enhance market access capabilities.

You are a visionary leader with a deep understanding of market access and pricing strategies, particularly in the global healthcare landscape. Your strong communication skills enable you to convey complex information clearly to senior leaders and external stakeholders. You have a collaborative spirit, thriving in cross-functional and cross-regional teams where consensus-building and strategic alignment are key. You are passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients through innovative access solutions and evidence-based approaches.

Required Skills

  • Master's and/or Doctorate in related economic, scientific, or business discipline.


  • 12+ years of relevant experience in the industry, including global launch experience.


  • Proven experience in leading market access, evidence, and pricing strategies for a healthcare portfolio.


  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in cross-functional strategic discussions.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with senior leaders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with innovative access schemes and reimbursement negotiation strategies.


  • Familiarity with Alzheimer's Disease and Neurodegeneration market dynamics.


  • Demonstrated ability to represent a company at high-profile scientific and technical events.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $238,000.00-$327,000.00

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
