Senior Analyst , GBS Record to Report

About This Role:
As a Senior Analyst in the GBS Record to Report team, you will take charge of Biogen's Affiliates' general ledger operations, encompassing tasks like cash and treasury reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, prepayments, and accruals. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly and quarterly financial information, including Profit and Loss (PnL), Balance Sheets (BS), VAT, CIT, and other packages. This role is crucial for delivering precise financial records and analyses, which are instrumental in the company's decision-making processes. You will contribute significantly to the finance department by managing essential financial activities that align with Biogen's strategic objectives and financial integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Perform general ledger operations for Biogen's Affiliates, including cash and treasury reconciliations and accounts receivable transactions.
• Manage fixed asset activity and payroll, prepayments, and accruals.
• Record revenue and expenses accurately and efficiently.
• Calculate and post journal entries to maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting of PnL, BS, and other schedules.
• Run PA reports and prepare VAT data and CIT templates.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Carry out monthly and quarterly analyses as required.
• Collaborate with consultants on statutory financial statement preparations.
• Provide data and explanations for internal and external audit inquiries.

Required Skills:

• University degree in Finance (preferred in Accountancy area).
• Additional qualifications in accounting (ACCA/CIMA exams preferred, National Association of Accountants).
• 3+ years of experience in international accounting.
• Experience in working for SSC/BPO required.
• Good understanding of various AP/AR/CM/FA processes.
• Proficient knowledge of Oracle R12.
• Good knowledge of MS Office package (Outlook, Excel).
• Experience in Continuous Improvement.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English required.
