Regional Market Access Manager (Location: Guangzhou)

As Regional Market Access Manager, you will be responsible for Regional government affairs: actively seek government engagement opportunities to establish a good external environment for the business development of the company and make contributions to the healthy growth of the company's business; Execute regional market access and key account plans for Biogen's medicines, including healthcare policy shaping, provincial/city-level medical insurance and commercial health insurance strategy and NRDL hospital access execution; Build up and maintain long-term and solid partnerships with regional key customers to ensure patient access to Biogen medicines at hospital level.

Location: Guangzhou

  • Develop and execute the regional market access and key account strategy and plan for Biogen's medicines in relevant areas.
    • Develop regional market access/KAM strategy and operation plan based on national strategies and business targets.
    • Identify opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally to engage in "win: win" partnerships with key accounts in order to positively influence hospital access.
  • Lead local reimbursement and hospital access execution for Biogen medicines.
    • Engage with provincial/city payers/healthcare authorities/key account customers to optimize NRDL execution from national to local hospitals by advocating for the high quality of policy (reimbursement ratio, DRG/DIP, channel and so on)
    • Coordinate and lead cross-functions to remove access barriers and solve urgent issues in reimbursement to ensure NRDL smooth execution by policy shaping and customer engagement.
    • Explore supplementary commercial insurance/medical assistance opportunities in medical insurance funding to further reduce patients' co-payment.
    • Execute national/local market access projects to achieve good policy shaping for patient access.
    • Build trusted and strategic relationships with payers/healthcare commission/healthcare providers in order to mitigate access barriers and better meet agendas, plans and objectives of respective key account.
    • Assist in accelerating the hospital access and patient availability of Biogen's new products in the region by means of hospital listing and breakthroughs in regional CSI, etc., to achieve the company's goals.

  • Build up strong connection with local healthcare commission and relevant government sectors and advocate for rare disease, children's health and essential medicine relevant policy.
  • Monitor pharmaceutical/healthcare and business operation related policies and assess the risks/opportunities of policies to the company's business operation
  • Provide policy analysis and payer insight to support regional business decisions effectively and work closely with other functions, Marketing/Sales, Commercial Management and Medical Affairs team to deliver good business result and patient benefit
  • Exploration of Opportunities for Innovative Market Access and Promotion of Implementation
    • Explore the early access opportunities and facilitate landing for CMAP in GBA area
    • Advocate regional innovation policies, Support the establishment and implementation of the innovative Rare Disease Fund pilot program

  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree Required;
    • 10+ years working experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with solid background of market access and KAM roles
    • Solid experience with hospital listing and/or key account management
    • Advanced negotiation skill and a good influencer
    • Learning agility, accountable, pioneering and ethical
    • Self-motivated and be willing to work under high pressure.
    • Result driven, able to deliver in highly demanding environment and competitive market.
    • Good Mandarin and English for verbal and written communications
