Patient Advocacy Lead - LAN
About This Role
As the Patient Advocacy Lead for Biogen Latin America North (LAN), you will play a key role in shaping and advancing patient advocacy strategy across priority markets. This role is designed for a high-potential professional ready to step into greater leadership responsibility by leading patient advocacy strategy and partnerships, rather than managing people.
You will build and sustain meaningful relationships with patient advocacy organizations, align advocacy initiatives with business and therapeutic priorities, and ensure patient perspectives are thoughtfully integrated into broader strategies. Working closely with community partners, internal stakeholders, and Business Units, you will help strengthen Biogen's commitment to patient-centered innovation across LAN.
This role requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and communication skills, along with a passion for advocacy and collaboration. You will lead national, regional, and local advocacy efforts across multiple therapeutic areas, contributing to impactful outcomes for patients and caregivers throughout the region.
What You'll Do

- Develop and execute patient advocacy strategies and best practices for engagement with patients, caregivers, and community stakeholders.
- Act as a key partner to Brand Teams and cross-functional stakeholders, integrating patient advocacy insights into broader strategic plans.
- Build and maintain compliant, transparent relationships with patient organizations, ensuring alignment with company policies and ethical standards.
- Lead planning and oversight of the patient advocacy budget, ensuring responsible use of resources and clear tracking of outcomes and impact.
Who You Are
You are motivated by improving the patient experience and are ready to take the next step in your career by owning strategy and leading workstreams independently. You build trust easily with internal and external stakeholders and communicate with clarity and confidence. You enjoy working in a collaborative, matrixed environment and are comfortable influencing without formal authority.
