Junior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)
About This Role:
As the Junior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), you will be instrumental in establishing scientific and medical engagement with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Key Medical Experts (KMEs), and other relevant stakeholders. Situated within our Medical Affairs team, your primary objective will be to support the understanding of the clinical and scientific value of SMA treatments. Acting as a trusted resource, you will deliver accurate and unbiased scientific information, all while adhering to compliance, ethical, and regulatory standards. Your role is pivotal in positioning our organization as a leader in SMA, facilitating knowledge exchange, and driving scientific discussions that ultimately enhance patient outcomes.
What You'll Do:
- Engage in high-quality, non-promotional scientific exchange with HCPs and medical experts tailored to their specific needs and patient populations.
- Build and nurture long-term, collaborative relationships with customers, positioning our organization as a trusted scientific partner in SMA.
- Communicate the clinical and scientific data related to SMA disease state, marketed products, and pipeline assets with clarity and credibility.
- Stay up to date with advances in SMA research, treatment guidelines, and the broader healthcare landscape.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, and other internal stakeholders in a compliant manner.
- Support educational initiatives, scientific meetings, and other medical activities that enhance disease and product knowledge.
- Prepare thoroughly for stakeholder interactions while remaining flexible and responsive to evolving discussions and needs.
- Operate with a strong understanding of industry regulations, compliance guardrails, and ethical standards.
- Contribute to cross-functional account planning and add value through medical expertise and insight sharing.

Your ability to communicate complex scientific information with clarity makes you an invaluable resource to HCPs and KMEs. Adaptable and eager to learn, you effectively manage multiple priorities and embrace opportunities to grow your expertise in Medical Affairs.
Required Skills:
- Degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Pharmacy, Nursing, Biology, Biomedical Sciences or related). A master's or PhD is considered a strong plus.
- Advanced English (written and spoken).
- Strong interest in Medical Affairs and neuroscience/rare diseases.
- Excellent scientific communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in clinical, scientific, or healthcare environments is an advantage.
- Availability to travel within the assigned territory and work in the field.
- Preferred Skills:
- Preferred candidates based in Minas Gerais.
- Effective insight generation and communication.
- Ethical judgment and compliance awareness.
