About the Role:

As an intern, you are responsible for leading and supporting cross-functional initiatives that enhance patient services operations and experience. The position manages projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget while effectively coordinating stakeholders. This role prepares executive-ready communications, proactively manages risks, and provides clear insights to support decision-making, operating with professionalism and discretion in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of patient services initiatives and projects, ensuring scope, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies to support successful delivery.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders across operations, finance, IT, and leadership groups.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear, consistent communication on project status, risks, and outcomes.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, recommending solutions to keep initiatives on track.
- Prepare and deliver executive-ready presentations and briefing materials that clearly communicate progress, insights, and recommendations.
- Facilitate meetings and decision-making sessions to drive alignment and timely resolution of issues.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by capturing lessons learned and applying best practices to patient services project delivery.
- Ensure initiatives align with patient experience goals, operational priorities, and organizational strategy.
Who You Are:
Required Qualifications
- Strong project planning and organizational skills, clear communication and stakeholder management, risk and problem-solving ability, leadership across cross-functional teams, and the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience creating concise, executive ready materials that distill complex concepts for senior leadership audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter comfortable operating in fast-paced environments and supporting high visibility initiatives with professionalism and discretion.
- Proven success in managing cross-functional, enterprise-level programs involving both business and technology teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive change in dynamic, regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with process improvement, change management, and executive -level stakeholder engagement.
To participate in the Biogen Internship or Co-op Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required; pursuing master's degree in a project management field preferred.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $29.00-$29.00
The actual hourly wage offered will consider the candidate's current academic level and degree candidacy, inclusive of Associate, Bachelor's, Master's, JD, MD, PhD and MBA programs. It will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements specific to the job location.
