Head of Patient Services Strategic Planning
About This Role: As the Head of Patient Services Strategic Planning, you will be a senior leader responsible for ensuring the North America Patient Services team is optimally positioned to deliver on its strategy and business priorities. Your role will be pivotal in driving alignment, execution, innovation, and effectiveness across Biogen North America (BNA). You will shape and govern the strategic direction of the Patient Services organization, ensuring it is operationalized within a complex, highly regulated healthcare environment. Partnering with executive leadership, you will translate enterprise strategy, market dynamics, and organizational priorities into clear operating plans and decision-ready insights that drive measurable impact. This is a high-impact role, empowered to optimize operations through the identification and prioritization of key initiatives. You will lead through influence, manage project teams as necessary, and provide leadership across the PS organization, cultivating a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and accountability.

What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute a Patient Services strategy aligned with brand strategic imperatives.
- Drive measurable improvements across the PS organization by assessing structure, processes, and tools.
- Identify and promote opportunities to enhance business practices and achieve operational excellence.
- Coordinate various operational excellence projects across the PS organization for consistency.
- Develop processes for capturing key lessons from initiatives to propagate best practices.
- Shape the strategic direction and partner with senior leaders to translate strategy into clear roadmaps.
- Lead strategic plan presentations to senior leaders to gain buy-in and support.
- Lead the annual planning process for Patient Services, incorporating market and regulatory insights.
- Drive quarterly business reviews, developing content and executive-ready materials.
- Oversee portfolio-level planning in collaboration with project managers.
- Serve as the primary owner of executive communications, including presentations and briefing materials.
- Prepare high-impact presentations for senior leadership and cross-functional audiences.
- Direct the communication strategy for the Patient Services organization.
- Lead department-wide change and engagement initiatives to strengthen culture and employee experience.
- Plan and execute large-scale events, such as town halls and leadership meetings.
- Own the Patient Services financial budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Establish governance and operating rhythms for disciplined execution and decision-making.
- Lead and develop direct reports, providing coaching and career development.
- Provide oversight to project managers supporting Patient Services initiatives.

Required Skills:
- At least 10 years of experience in strategic planning or a related field within the healthcare industry.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading strategic initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actionable plans.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing executive-level materials.
- Ability to navigate complex, regulated environments and drive organizational change.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in business administration or healthcare management.
- Experience in patient services or healthcare operations.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and regulatory requirements in healthcare

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $199,000.00-$274,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
