About This Role:

As the Head of Field Operations, Incentives & Deployment, you will serve as the key architect for the motivation and direction engine of our entire field organization. Your mission is to design and execute incentive compensation plans and field deployment strategies that align with Biogen and franchise goals. This role demands transformation in process discipline, governance, strategic influence, and automation. You will architect the ideal future state and lead this transformation while overseeing day-to-day operations critical to field direction and motivation. Additionally, you will assess and upgrade the current field inquiry process, adding it to your department to enhance efficiency, given that over 80% of inquiries are IC-related. By guiding a team where technical accuracy, governance, project management, and strong communication are paramount, you will maintain field morale and organizational trust. This position is essential in optimizing customer engagement across four franchises and the Market Access team.

What You'll Do:

  • Transform the deployment, Incentive Compensation, and field inquiry current state towards a strategic, disciplined, and influential organization.
  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of incentive compensation plans, field alignments, and call plans.
  • Monitor and fine-tune the upgraded field inquiry process, ensuring actionable insights and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish new standards for delivery, stakeholder engagement, and assess opportunities to streamline work via technology upgrades.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of IC plans that drive strategic behaviors such as market share growth and portfolio selling.
  • Develop specialized deployment and incentive models for Field Market Access and Strategic Account Managers.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years' experience in Pharmaceutical Commercial Operations of advancing responsibility
  • Deep expertise in Incentive Compensation and field deployment/alignments
  • Executive presence with the ability to present complex models and shifts to Franchise Heads and other commercial leaders.
  • Experience in upgrading functions across processes, people, and technology
  • Comfort with large-scale data sets and collaboration with data scientists
  • Ability to drive transformation and strategic influence
  • People leadership experience

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $234,000.00-$322,000.00

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.

Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
