Head of Business Operations Biogen International Region
About This Role:
As the Head of Business Operations for the Biogen Intercontinental Region (BIR), you will take on a senior leadership role that is crucial for ensuring operational excellence and strategic execution across one of Biogen's most diverse regions. Reporting directly to the President of BIR, you will be an integral part of the BIR Leadership Team, providing essential governance, insights, and processes that empower the region to reach its strategic and commercial objectives. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive accountability, develop robust metrics and dashboards, and ensure the seamless execution of strategic priorities. Your efforts will directly contribute to the region's success, enhancing Biogen's global presence while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and operational discipline.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the cadence and operation of regional governance, ensuring effective preparation, follow-up, and execution of decisions.
- Design and maintain robust performance metrics and dashboards that provide transparency and enable data-driven decisions.
- Monitor and follow up on strategic priorities, ensuring alignment and measurable outcomes across the region.
- Run critical regional processes, ensuring consistency, clarity, and efficiency.
- Drive the cadence and conformity of launch processes, embedding a standard of excellence for all product introductions.
- Prepare the region for global governance engagements, effectively representing BIR priorities and insights.
- Oversee governance operations, optimizing strategic planning cycles in collaboration with Finance and Commercial Excellence.
- Develop and implement best-in-class business processes and tools to enhance efficiency and impact.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, capturing and disseminating best practices across markets.
- Deliver financial commitments focusing on sustainable revenue, profitability, and growth.
- Represent BIR in global and regional brand discussions, ensuring alignment and resource optimization.

Required Skills:
- BSc in business, life sciences, or marketing. MBA Desired.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic planning and commercial operations.
- Demonstrated success in launching and managing complex portfolios, ideally in neuroscience or rare diseases.
- Strong experience in managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Understanding of regional markets across the Biogen Intercontinental Region.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills across global and multicultural contexts.
- High integrity and commitment to compliance.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is an advantage.
