About This Role
The Senior Director, Alzheimer's Global Diagnostics & Disease Area Strategy, will lead the overall global AD diagnostic pathway strategy and disease area strategy for the Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Franchise. Significant collaboration is required across the value chain of subject matter experts and with the regions.
What You'll Do
- Develop, recommend and direct the implementation of the AD diagnostic pathway commercialization strategies, working collaboratively with global commercialization functions and regional commercialization colleagues.
- Direct the Alzheimer Disease and Dementia Franchise Strategic Annual Process.
- Assess and recommend, in collaboration with cross functional partners, disease area strategies to realize the Biogen ADD Pipeline Strategy.
- Orchestrate strong, collegiate and effective communications across a range of stakeholders including internal cross-functional and regional teams and external vendors, partners, or collaborators as it pertains to commercialization strategies and goals.
- Direct the management of Vendor SOWs and budgets related to approved commercialization strategies, goals, and fiscal year budgets.
- Evaluate competitive intelligence, landscape and market development related to the AD diagnostic pathway commercialization strategies to inform strategy evolution and revised recommendations to drive market growth and simplify the AD diagnostics patient care pathway.
- Direct complex projects and programs associated with the role ensuring deliverables are on time and in line with contracted terms and business deadlines.
Who You Are
You are a highly collaborative leader who has experience engaging with external experts to integrate perspectives into disease area strategy. You have track record for strong cross functional commercialization leadership in global and market settings, turning strategy into action, analyzing complex information and breaking it down into simple workstreams and high value actions, and effectively leading cross functional teams through problem solving and creating clear recommendations to senior level governance.
Required Skills
- Master's degree is required
- 12+ years relevant experience in simplifying patient care pathways, disease areas strategy, pipeline strategy, pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry.
- Previous industry experience at the global and local level leading cross functional teams is required.
- Demonstrated history of directing strategies with on time and approved recommendations related to diagnostics pathway and therapeutic programs is a requirement.
- Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously with cross-functional teams and with external partners.
- Working knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease diagnostics development, AD Patient care pathway and commercialization process.
- Proven track record of working on collaborative initiatives with alliance partners.
- Ability to apply good judgment within the team
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Advanced Doctoral degree preferred
- Alzheimer's development, launch and/or commercialization experience is preferred.
- Experience in HIV, Oncology, Rare Disease or Cardiometabolic development, launch and/or commercialization may also be relevant.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $234,000.00-$322,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
