Global Commercial Supply Chain Planning Operations Lead
About This Role:
As the Global Commercial Supply Chain Planning Operations Lead, you will play an integral role within the Global Supply Chain team, overseeing planning operations for various commercial franchises such as Multiple Sclerosis Disease, Immunology, Rare Disease, and Biosimilar Products. Your leadership will be pivotal in managing the complexities of supply chain operations, including Inventory and S&OP Management, to drive business value and productivity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Finance, Procurement, and Manufacturing, ensuring alignment and continuity in patient supply and business operations. In this role, you will navigate high levels of ambiguity and risks, anticipating potential challenges and developing contingency plans to maintain supply chain continuity. Acting as the anchor point between customer demand and supplier capability, you will ensure optimized inventory management and agile contingency plans, ultimately contributing to the seamless delivery of the right product to the right patient at the right time.

What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage product supply plans for global late-stage and commercial portfolios.
- Facilitate production planning through accurate MRP and scheduling, ensuring alignment with asset teams.
- Manage global network planning, addressing capacity constraints and aligning production requirements with business strategies.
- Establish and manage supply reliability plans for existing and new launch assets.
- Lead decisions across functional units regarding demand and supply balancing and lifecycle changes implementation.
- Monitor adherence to demand and supply plans, recommending corrective actions for non-adherence.
- Develop plans and contingencies for stable supply during new product introductions and lifecycle changes.
- Represent Global Supply Chain at key leadership teams.
- Drive global S&OP and inventory management processes, ensuring alignment with commercial and financial stakeholders.
- Advance maturity levels of demand, supply, and inventory reporting and analytics.
- Lead the Global Commercial Supply Chain Planning Operations Organization, building a world-class team.
- Act as a change agent, lifting the supply chain organization to a culture of excellence.
- Establish a Supply Chain Center of Excellence, driving necessary operating model changes.
- Own and implement supply chain metrics, embracing real-time data management for performance measurement.
Who You Are:
You are a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics, capable of navigating complexities and risks with ease. Your leadership skills enable you to influence cross-functional teams and drive results within a matrix organization. You possess a vision for a successful supply chain organization and are committed to building relationships and fostering collaboration. You are adaptable, capable of acting swiftly in response to disruptions, and dedicated to maintaining supply chain continuity. Your analytical mindset and business acumen empower you to make informed decisions that benefit the company and its patients.
Required Skills:
- BA or BS in a scientific or quantitative field (Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain).
- Proven experience (minimum 15 years) in supply chain, business, and pharma industry.
- Specialized knowledge in ERP systems, preferred APICS certification.
- Strong people management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills and change management experience.
- Strategic and commercial viewpoint with a deep understanding of financial operations.
Preferred Skills:
- MBA or similar advanced degree.
- Experience with (bio-)pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to lead change and drive organizational excellence.
