Finance Manager, Türkiye
About This Role:
As the Finance Manager for Turkiye, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team, ensuring the seamless execution of accounting and controlling activities. You will oversee the compliance of local Turkish reporting, including WHT, VAT, and statutory requirements, aligning with Turkish GAAP and e-invoicing standards. Your responsibilities will extend to managing month-end and quarter-end close processes, assisting in OpEx planning, and providing crucial financial guidance to cost center owners. By designing and implementing local finance policies, you will ensure adherence to global standards, fostering a compliant and efficient financial environment. As part of a dynamic organization, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing to strategic financial planning and audit processes, and enhancing overall business performance.
This role is available on a fully remote or hybrid basis from our offices in Istanbul.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee local Turkish reporting compliance, including WHT, VAT, and statutory reporting.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with local e-invoicing requirements and global policies.
- Provide financial guidance on the Chart of Accounts and support cost center owners.
- Collaborate and support monthly accounting and controlling activities with Global Business Services.
- Prepare forward-looking cash requirements for import prepayments.
- Design and implement local finance policies, ensuring training and adherence.
- Act as the finance approver in the PO approval chain, supporting budget owners.
- Collaborate on payroll preparation and verification, ensuring sufficient funding.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.
- Provide training on local finance policies and support process improvements.

You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, adept at navigating complex financial landscapes. Your independent and proactive approach allows you to thrive in dynamic environments, while your flexibility and problem-solving skills enable you to work effectively amid ambiguity. You possess excellent communication skills, fluently speaking both English and the local language, and you excel in cross-functional team settings. Your commitment to internal customer focus and ability to work within a matrix organization make you a valuable asset to our team.
Required Skills:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Pharmaceutical or biotech experience.
- SOX/Internal Control experience.
- Proficiency in Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote).
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion or comparable).
- Independent and self-starter.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English and local language.
- High flexibility and ability to work with ambiguity.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization.
- Internal customer focus.
