About the GCE&O Graduate Program

Biogen's Global Customer Excellence & Operations (GCE&O) organization spans a broad range of business functions, supporting insights generation, operational excellence, patient identification, performance management, forecasting, and analytics. While roles differ significantly across the organization, all teams share a commitment to excellence and to ensuring Biogen delivers meaningful impact for patients.

The program is designed for recent graduates to work closely with GCE&O leadership, learning from experienced mentors and building an international network of colleagues. Rotations are tailored to the graduate's development needs and the organization's priorities, ensuring both meaningful contribution and personal growth.

Over the two years, the graduate will rotate through three key areas within GCE&O, gaining exposure to decision support, patient finding, insights generation, performance analytics, forecasting, and local business and market dynamics.

The Role

During the 2‑year GCE&O Graduate Program, you will complete three rotations:

Rotation 1 - Customer & Market Insights (CMI)

In CMI rotation, you will support strategic insights generation related to performance, market dynamics, and reporting. You will leverage qualitative and quantitative data sources, primary and secondary market research, and advanced analytics. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and automating management reporting and KPI dashboards
  • Supporting long‑range forecasts, scenario planning, and market assumptions
  • Conducting competitive intelligence and market research
  • Providing analysis for Brand Leads to support strategic decision‑making
  • Supporting business review cycles and annual operating planning

Rotation 2 - Patient Finding

In this rotation, you will focus on patient Identification, Engagement and Activation across multiple therapeutic areas, with a strong emphasis on rare diseases. This includes:

  • Using real‑world data and AI/ML tools to identify undiagnosed or misdiagnosed patients
  • Driving cross‑functional collaboration across medical, marketing, analytics, and field teams
  • Exploring and supporting in‑house initiatives leveraging cross-functional internal capabilities
  • Working with external stakeholders to advance innovative patient finding projects
  • Contributing to Biogen's mission to help patients access treatment earlier

Rotation 3 - Affiliate Rotation

Your final rotation will be based within one of Biogen's affiliates in the Europe, or Biogen International Region (BIR). This experience provides:

  • Firsthand exposure to local commercial operations and CE&O activities
  • Direct involvement in priority business projects in a relevant therapeutic area
  • Deeper understanding of market dynamics, customer insights, and competitive context
  • Opportunities to contribute to local performance drivers and strategic initiatives

This affiliate rotation is considered fundamental, enabling the graduate to connect global strategy with local execution.

Qualifications

We are looking for recent graduates holding a Master's degree in a relevant discipline such as business management, finance, economics, marketing, or a scientific field. A demonstrated interdisciplinary background and relevant work experience are preferred.

  • Strong academic achievements
  • Excellent analytical skills and an affinity for working with data
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills and comfort with quantitative analysis
  • Extracurricular achievements demonstrating drive and capability
  • Eagerness to learn and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • An international mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • A collaborative, proactive, and efficient team approach
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to bring new ideas
  • Professional fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
