About This Role:

As a (Senior) Buyer at Biogen, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless procurement of GMP and non-GMP raw materials, directly contributing to the efficiency and success of our manufacturing operations. Working closely with the Global Category Manager, you will lead efforts in annual price collection and activities, optimizing Biogen's external spend. Your role is crucial in maintaining compliance with established procurement policies and strategies, while also maximizing returns on investment. This position places you as a key player in the procurement team, interfacing with various departments and vendors to uphold Biogen's financial objectives and manufacturing goals. The Senior Buyer adds significant value by ensuring timely and compliant procurement, supporting our mission of delivering transformative therapies.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure that all procurement transactions undergo thorough due diligence review before conversion into purchase orders.
  • Communicate purchase orders, status updates, confirmations, and delivery details with vendors, addressing lead times and quantity discounts.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Planning group to execute purchasing strategies, maintaining compliance with financial objectives and site manufacturing goals.
  • Resolve supplier issues and actively manage raw material escalations to support manufacturing operations, presenting updates to key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the first operational contact for S2C processes, advising users on buying channels, preferred suppliers, and workflows.
  • Support sourcing, negotiating, and contracting strategies to achieve category goals.

Required Skills:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a GMP-regulated industry or similar environment.
  • Track record of cGMP experience and governing policies.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement and supply chain management.

The base compensation range for this role is: zł104,000.00-zł139,300.00
