Project Overview:
Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel's scope of service in Sentinel's current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.
A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. Job Summary:
The Materials & Content Coordinator supports the Training Team by managing, organizing, updating, and preparing all instructional content and training materials used across the Sentinel project. This role manages content libraries, updates training documents, prepares materials for instructors, uploads resources to the LMS, and ensures required reading and training content stay accurate and compliant, accessible, and properly maintained within Bechtel systems such as the Electronic Content Management System (ECMS) and the Learning Management System (LMS).

The role ensures a consistent, ready-to-deliver library of training materials for instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced training and supports required reading distribution and maintenance. This position is a full-time position, with a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off, and is located at the Project Management Annex office in Ogden, UT, reporting to the Training Supervisor.
Major Responsibilities:
Content Management & Version Control
- Develops computer based, virtual and instructor led courses in partnership with a content SME through all stages of learning design process
- Develops and maintains the Training webpage
- Maintain structured, version-controlled content libraries for all training materials across ECMS, LMS, and SharePoint applications
- Validate materials for Bechtel formatting, document control requirements, and revision accuracy before release
- Coordinate content updates, objectives, and timeline parameters with SMEs, instructors, Quality, ES&H, and Engineering
Training Materials Preparation & Distribution
- Prepare physical and digital materials for instructor-led training (printing, assembling participant guides, staging rooms)
- Ensure accurate distribution of required reading updates and assist with maintaining the required reading database
- Support training delivery teams by ensuring materials, supplies, digital files, and resources are available ahead of the training schedule
LMS & ECMS Administration
- Upload or update content in the LMS with accurate metadata, access settings, and version history
- Submit new or revised materials to Document Control for numbering and release into ECMS
- Maintain records of material creation, revision, deployment dates, and lifecycle status
Cross-Functional Support
- Coordinate content alignment with Instruction Coordinators, Training Compliance Coordinators, SMEs, and project leadership
- Support preparation of materials needed during audits, readiness reviews, customer assessments, and surveillances
- Work with facility and training personnel to ensure training rooms, equipment, and supplies are prepared
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Incorporate changes from updated procedures, command media, or regulatory requirements into existing training materials
- Assist in content-related process improvements to ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility across training programs
- Makes recommendations to customers on alternative processes, techniques, and materials as the assignment develops
- Collect and integrate feedback from instructors, trainees, SMEs, and assessors
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Typically a University Hire with 1-2years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience. in content management, documentation control, training support, or administrative coordination.
- Associate degree or related technical training preferred; or equivalent experience
- Experience with document control systems, content repositories, or learning management systems preferred
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and other applicable software suites. A skills assessment may be administered to determine proficiency.
- Intermediate to advanced written and verbal communication skills including spelling, grammar, punctuation and proper use of syntax. A skills assessment may be administered to determine proficiency.
- Familiarity with construction, engineering, or operations environments preferred
- Exceptional organizational and content-tracking skills
- Adaptable, detail-focused, and quality-driven
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting deadlines
- Ability to lift and transport training materials (binders, print packets, classroom supplies)
- Must maintain all project-required security credentials and clearances
