Project Overview:

Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel's scope of service in Sentinel's current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.

Job Summary:

The Training Instruction Coordinator supports development, delivery, coordination, and administration for training programs across the project. This hybrid role combines duties typical of instructional specialists - training delivery, curriculum development, needs assessments-with responsibilities aligned with training compliance and LMS administration.

The position ensures project personnel receive accurate, timely, and properly documented training aligned with project requirements, quality expectations, and regulatory or security standards. This position is a full-time position, with a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off, and is located at the Project Management Annex office in Ogden, UT, reporting to the Training Supervisor.

Major Responsibilities:

Instructional Development & Delivery
  • Support development and delivery of training program information using a variety of instructional methods (classroom-based, virtual, computer-based) for personnel across the project
  • Facilitate and perform instructor-led, in-person, virtual and computer-based training as applicable
  • Support the maintenance of training materials in collaboration with SMEs to ensure content accuracy and alignment to Bechtel, client, and project requirements
  • Support the alignment of training, project-specific briefings, onboarding modules, and virtual training with BNI and BGI training modules and requirements
  • Support direct hire and subcontractor classroom and hands-on training on a broad range of construction-related topics for manual and non-manual workers

LMS & Records Administration
  • Support the Training Team with establishing and maintaining training profiles, record completions, troubleshoot user/course issues, and perform self-assessments within the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Assists with the collection and submission of training documentation to Document Control for processing into ECMS
  • May assist with and/or develop and maintain project training metrics

Training Needs Identification
  • May conduct training needs analyses with project management and SMEs
  • Assist with Identifying training gaps using project metrics, observations, reviews, and audit/surveillance results and recommend solutions and improvement based on findings

Collaboration & Communication
  • Interface with project management, SME groups, client personnel, construction teams, and field engineering staff as required
  • Assist with coordination of presenters, training rooms, materials, and scheduling via Outlook and other systems
  • Maintain professional relationships across departments to ensure successful program execution


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 6+ years of related experience
  • Associate degree or technical training preferred


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and other applicable software suites. A skills assessment may be administered to determine proficiency.
  • Intermediate to advanced written and verbal communication skills including spelling, grammar, punctuation and proper use of syntax. A skills assessment may be administered to determine proficiency.
  • Ability to effectively deliver training to groups in both classroom and field settings
  • Working knowledge of learning management systems, training records management, and LMS/LEARN systems preferred
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements or training processes within construction or facility operations preferred
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate training programs effectively
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent requests and shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to interface professionally with personnel at all levels
  • Must be physically able to work safely at project facilities and maintain required clearances
  • May require minimal travel and/or overtime depending on project needs
